Krookz King Pays Homage to His Hip-Hop Roots with His Music Releases

In its current popularity globally, hip-hop has transcended the music scene. Hip-hop has become a culture, a lifestyle that people ascribe to. It has evolved into a perspective on life and the world that allows for celebration, experience, understanding, confrontation, and commentary. More than the music with an upbeat rhythm that has been the origins of hip-hop, it is now also attributed to quick-fire rapping with blunt yet thought-evoking lyrics, casual and maximalist street style, and a person’s fierce and confident demeanor. As a result, hip-hop has grown to inspire and touch the lives of many individuals in more ways than one.

One such individual whose life is heavily shaped and influenced by hip-hop is Krookz King or “KK.” Growing up in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York, KK has long been exposed to hip-hop music and culture. Although he recognizes the influence that most of the legends in the industry have had on him, he still believes in authenticity and putting out music and content that is one hundred percent Krookz King.

Signed with UA Music Group, Krookz King released his debut album last 2021 titled “TINAD” and had two other single releases after that. With over a thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, he is undoubtedly on the right track to being at the top of the industry soon. He has already earned quite a reputation in the rap community for his witty turns-of-phrase and flawless production, so much so that he has received recognition from some of the industry’s icons, such as Maino and Fat Joe. In fact, Maino even appeared in KK’s album as a featured artist in one of his tracks titled “KROOKZ.”

While KK’s overall musical ability and rap skills are incredible, he is most confident in his production skills. “I’m a chameleon. I can make anything my own, whether on a west coast vibe, drills, trap, etc. I own it. It’ll sound like a Krook vibe for sure,” says KK. He has exhibited his range with the various beats and meaningful messages he incorporated into his music. He adds, “I am authentic… When you listen to Krookz, you’re getting to experience me. Everything facts, I keep it 100!”

Still in the first few years of his career, KK understands that he still has his future ahead of him. The music industry, even more in the hip-hop genre, is not short of aspiring new artists ready to become the next big thing. The competition does not deter Krookz King, however. Instead, he draws strength from being an underdog and coming out on top eventually. He is always ready to put his best foot forward and believes in the power of persistence and an unwavering work ethic.

Just as much as hip hop and music have touched his life, Krookz King wishes to extend the same hope and euphoria to his listeners. On hip-hop, he declares, “It’s my lifestyle, a part of my day-to-day. I genuinely love hip-hop. I am the culture.” He is sure never to lose inspiration, being part of the community and culture that is essentially responsible for molding the man and artist he is today.
