Kathy Ireland Sponsors The Waltons’ Homecoming Airing for Thanksgivings Holidays

Thanksgiving holiday is a time for families to spend time together, bond and take stock of how far they have come over the last eleven months. Entertaining content is one of the ways families bond and this year’s thanksgiving holiday will see American families enjoying a reboot of the well-loved classic “The Waltons’ Homecoming,” on The CW which is sponsored by Kathy Ireland, the CEO, founder and Chief Designer and Chair of  kathy ireland® Worldwide.

The film is executive produced by Emmy Award winner Sam Heskell who’s also the chair and president of Magnolia Hill Productions at Warner Bros. Some of the notable names that feature in the film include Bellamy Young, Ben Lawson, and Logan Shroyer. Richard Thomas, the original John Boy narrates the film while music is created by seven-time Grammy Award winners Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. The duo has worked with Kathy Ireland on other projects, especially their recent album release titled Blackbird: Lennon-McCartney Icons which earned them a spot on the Billboard charts after more than 35 years of being absent. Their rendition of “Silent Night” is also slated for release on November 29 as both of them play Sister Harriett and Brother William respectively. “For all who experience this treasured film, please know that, as Elizabeth Taylor often said, ‘Something wonderful is about to happen,” Ms. Ireland said.

The film’s airing also sheds light on Kathy’s love and support for charity organizations. She’s a big supporter of children battling cancer and she also serves as the international chair for The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (nationalpcf.org). This holiday season, kathy ireland® Worldwide will donate a portion of every purchase to nationalpcf.org.
