Jessica Banks up-and coming Actress who is already making a buzz

Born on February 18, 1986, Jessica Banks is an American up-and-coming actress, screenwriter, director, and DJ. She is professionally more widely known by the name Banks. Born in Jamaica Queens, she is not only famous for her outstanding acting skills but is also a well-known professional DJ and a strong advocate of the LGBTQ community. She is the daughter of native NewYorker Edward Banks and Joanne Davis. Since her early days, Banks was always inclined towards building a career that could yield a visionary and better social impact. 

To achieve her dreams and follow in her father’s footsteps, at the age of 12, Banks embarked on the journey and started making a career as a professional DJ. At 15, she garnered recognition through the release of her first mixed tape. While pursuing her dreams, Banks attended Flushing High School and dived into a play and production course study. The course ended up landing Banks with her first stage performance “Westside Story”. In addition to the play and production course, Banks also obtained a degree in the Thurgood Marshall Law and graduated from the school in 2005. 

Banks continued to hone her acting skills and further worked in various TV series, movies, webcam series, and commercials. While working in collaboration with the Central Casting Agency, Banks got the opportunity to work across versatile roles such as GAP Kid’s- 2005 commercial, and roles in Law & Order- Special Victims Unit seasons 20, 21, and 22 in episodes 15 and 19 respectively. Banks is also known to have appeared in several TV series such as Pose, Power, The Last O.G., and Orange is the New Black. She has also starred in a webcam series named Southern Belles. As of October 2022, her net worth is $300k. 

Banks has also written, directed, and acted in movies such as When the Tables Turn and is currently shooting for the film When the Table Turn Reservation for 2. In the future, Banks plans to produce, direct and act in her own films through the launch of her own production company.
