The connections he made there led to more opportunities, including being cast in a commercial for Bose products. “Funny enough, some of the crew from Let’s Make a Deal were on set for the Bose commercial. It was great to reconnect and work with them again,” Jay says.

This experience allowed him to see how different the commercial world is from the more theatrical work he’s used to. But as someone who thrives on challenges, Jay embraced the opportunity to hone his skills in front of the camera.

Leading the Conversation: Moderator at the Entertainment Forum

Not just content to be in front of the camera or on stage, Jay took on a new role this year as a moderator for the 3rd Annual Outside of Hollywood Entertainment Forum. “Moderating the forum was an incredible experience,” Jay explains. “I was there to guide the conversation, but I learned so much about the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making a film or TV show happen. It’s something every performer should understand.”
