“I’ve always had a love for music but it started off as just a hobby. over time I grew to love being able to express myself on a song the creative aspect of making music,” Khi states. He adds, “I’d describe my music style as upbeat, flashy lifestyle music with a touch of street. If you’re listening to my music you can relate on some level.”

His latest slew of singles finds the rapper finding the negative space between carnivalesque synth arpeggios, which provide a bright atmosphere to contrast with Ightkhi’s stream-of-consciousness rhymes. Several records tell a fragmented story about a relationship, one that started as a fan-artist connection but evolved into something far more complicated. Speaking on his favorite musicians, he shares, “If I could name 3 artists I pull inspiration from would be PUNCHMADE members, Rio da Yung OG, and Drake.”

With co-signs from The Guardian, Pitchfork, NME, Clash, The Face, Complex, Crack, and other global music icons, Ightkhi is taking over, and the artist’s arrival is certain to propel him even further on his unparalleled journey. “My goals as an artist would be to eventually win a Grammy and to put my loved ones in a position for success,” he shares.
