Despite these moments of serendipitous creativity, Nicodemi faces significant challenges, notably the dreaded writer’s block. “My biggest challenges have been occasional writer’s block. Those times when no inspiration comes to me at all,” he admits. “During those times, I tend to compensate by practicing my instruments and sitting down at a particular time of day, each day. All in the hope of an idea happening. Eventually of course, the ideas start to come.”
Once inspiration strikes and ideas flow, Nicodemi meticulously crafts each piece before heading to the recording studio. “I go to a studio to professionally record the ones I deem the best,” he explains, ensuring that each composition on “AZURE: Portraits of Sadness” is polished to perfection.
