We sure do live in a weird world, don’t we? According to Weird World Adventures, the new show streaming live now on Amazon Prime, that statement couldn’t be more accurate. Join host Malorie Mackey as she shows you just how weird this world of ours really is. From ghosts to psychics to just plain weird people living unusual lives, there’s something for everyone on this unique adventure show. So, why should you watch Weird World Adventures? Here are some key reasons to consider watching this new show on Amazon Prime.
Weird World Adventures features interviews with some of the paranormal groups.
In the pilot episode of the show, Malorie interviews Tony Spera of the New England Society for Psychic Research at Ed and Lorraine Warren’s Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. For those who don’t know, Ed and Lorraine Warren have been portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in the Conjuring Movie series. Weird World Adventures gives you an insider look into their legacy and brings you face to face with the Annabelle doll that inspired the hit horror movies.
In the first episode, you will also get to hear about the Monroe Institute, a center that focuses on out-of-body experiences. You might remember the Monroe Institute, as it was mentioned in some of the declassified CIA research papers.
It showcases some of the strangest places around the United States.
The first season of Weird World Adventures gives you an in-depth interview and tour at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California. What makes the Winchester House so enticing is the unknown motivations of Sarah Winchester who continued to build on her house for 38 years until her death. With strange design choices, such as a stairway to nowhere and a door that drops off the second floor out into the garden, people began questioning if there were paranormal motivations behind Sarah’s design choices. Other unusual places featured in the first season of the show include the Land of Oz Park, a park in Beech Mountain, North Carolina where you can experience your own Wizard of Oz adventure down the yellow brick road, and the Museum of the American Housecat.
The second season of Weird World Adventures features some of the iconic horror landmarks in the world.
In the second season of the show, which will release a bit later down the line, Malorie does an exclusive interview at Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle, at night. With a road trip down the Transylvanian Countryside and an adventure to find the Seven Gates of Guinee in New Orleans, the show only gets more exciting as it progresses.
The host, Malorie Mackey, is a member of the Explorers Club.
While most paranormal shows are presented without any scientific backing, host Malorie Mackey has joined the prestigious Explorers Club, a centuries-old club dedicated to scientific- related travel and adventure, with early members including Teddy Roosevelt, Neil Armstrong, and Jane Goodall. Malorie joined the club after qualifying for it through her time working on archaeological digs and working on penguin conservation across the world. Malorie approaches the adventures on her show with an open and curious mind, which makes the show much more interesting. And at the same time, she does approach many of the situations with a skepticism that is missing from general paranormal shows, making Weird World Adventures so much more than that.
It has action, adventure, art, and some truly strange experiences.
For those who love adventure, Weird World Adventures showcases some intense hikes, including a late-night adventure up into Brown Mountain, North Carolina to see the famous Brown Mountain Lights. It also features some of the unusual art in the world as Malorie and team visit Dinosaur Kingdom II, Mark Cline’s art park featuring dinosaurs being used as warfare in the American Civil War, and the California Institute of Abnormal Arts, a strange art club that has several dead bodies on display.
Malorie and guest host Elizabeth Saint capture some truly bizarre paranormal evidence.
While they aren’t quick to label anything as evidence of the paranormal, Malorie and Elizabeth capture some strange recordings that seem a bit more than coincidence on Helen’s Bridge in Asheville, North Carolina.
Weird World Adventures shows you that some strange treasures can be found in your own backyard.
Part of the show was filmed during the COVID-19 lockdown, so there is a strong encouragement to check out some of the strange treasures that can be found in your own backyard. Generally, when one thinks of travel, they think of venturing far away, but in reality, some of the exciting destinations and bizarre finds can be right in your own backyard. While definitely supporting the idea of travel, this show also pushes the idea that traveling somewhere, even just in your own backyard, is a great idea.
It may inspire you to see the world… in a different way.
For many years, the mainstream media has pushed the same beautiful beaches in the realm of travel. There has been a lack of adventure and definitely a lack of curiosity in their message. Weird World Adventures encourages you to see the beauty and wonder in the uniqueness of our world. It features weird places and strange people living the most unusual of lives, and there’s such a beauty in that which rarely gets showcased.
Final Remarks
I hope this piece has given you a new perspective on Weird World Adventures. It’s available on Amazon Prime if you’re interested in exploring the unique and intriguing aspects of our world.
