Chad Ehlers: Overcoming Tragedy and Sharing Positivity

Social media use has increased in recent years, and many have talked and learned about the adverse effects that social media has on mental health. But these various platforms can also be the source of positivity, inspiration, support, and genuine connection. Chad Ehlers has built a thriving community through his uplifting content on social media. What started as a small group of friends supporting each other grew into a worldwide movement where people can feel inspired and motivated despite the struggles they may face in their lives.

Chad Ehlers (also known as da_chad on TikTok) is a single father, a content creator, and a motivational speaker. He has recently become one of TikTok’s most popular creators. He is also the founder and leader of the ChadChange Positivity Movement, where multiple groups of content creators and influencers work to spread positivity throughout different social media platforms. The ChadChange Positivity Movement was created to be a safe space for people who are hurting and healing. Chad primarily inspires others and promotes positivity through music and dance.

The positivity that Chad shares has been his way of healing from tragedy. His wife suffered from depression and took her own life, leaving him to raise their daughter. Devastated by the loss, he had to remain strong for the sake of his daughter. Chad devoted himself to providing a good childhood for his daughter, and his efforts did pay off. They soon started dancing on TikTok videos together as a way to bond. The process of creating content has allowed them to laugh and make beautiful memories together.

Life for Chad Ehlers was looking up until another tragedy struck his family. His younger daughter was diagnosed with leukemia at only two years old. This diagnosis led to countless hospital trips, tests, and chemotherapy. Chad reluctantly shared his daughter’s story on social media, deciding to spread cancer awareness in young children.

As Chad Ehlers shared his experiences and his life on social media, he received an outpouring of support. This was how the ChadChange Positivity Movement began. Chad has touched so many lives and has inspired others to join his online community. Through this movement, Chad, with the help of several influencers, started several support groups focusing on different things such as cancer and mental health support. These groups grew and now have mental health professionals and doctors part of the team. The ChadChange Positivity Movement also donates to several charities. Each month, they choose a charity, and they donate profits from the movement’s customized merchandise.

Chad Ehlers has experienced so much heartbreak and suffering in his life. Yet, he chooses to stay positive and share that positivity with everyone else he encounters. His content on social media provides others with little moments of joy as they go about their lives. The movement he created has helped connect many people who are still healing from their pain with others experiencing similar things. Chad says, “We give without expectations. Even if it’s just something as simple as a smile or a laugh, you never know who needs it.”
