Christmas Enchantments – A Delightful Avenue of Reviving Back Family Traditions & Values

Christmas is a delightful time of the year. It gives us prospects enriched with traditions for escaping our monotonous routines. Almost every family has unique plans or activities celebrating the festivities this holiday brings. Indeed, for many, Christmas is the time of year when the family reunites, recalls old memories, and creates new ones.

Among the plethora of advantages from spending the Christmas season with your family, the most noteworthy ones are festivities and traditions which bring beams to faces that were once filled with distress. That makes Christmas a time people try to overcome grudges and bitterness that erode family bonds and values. Christmas then becomes not only an enchanting time, but a time that can strengthen family relationships and keep family traditions alive.

Everyone remembers the fantastic feeling of opening the door and walking into the knee weakening fragrance of fresh baking wafting from the kitchen. Baking cookies and cakes embellishing with delicious and colorful icings are an international occurrence. Yet, in each family there’s that thing they do which separates their cakes and cookies from the others . . . makes them special and unique. These activities bring back the memories of good times, and the thrill of following the tradition and simply enjoying each other. Moreover, everyone in the family gets the chance to participate. If not in the baking, certainly in the eating of the goodies. Author D.V. Lang’s novel, Grandma’s Holly Berry Christmas Cookies is rooted in such family traditions and values. D.V. Lang skillfully weaves in the importance of preserving tradition even when we face difficult times. Indeed, especially when we face difficult times.

Grandma’s Holly Berry Christmas Cookies is a story of family and tradition. It revolves around three sisters: Merry, AKA Mars, and identical twins, Miranda, and Marissa. These sisters have very different views of the events that led up to their crisis. Fortunately for them, this all happened around the holiday season. A season their family deeply cherishes and anticipates each year.

Mars knows that despite their different perspectives, and all the ugly things that occurred between them, they still have one incredibly strong thing in common. She intends to go to all lengths and shamelessly exploit this one opportunity to redeem herself and repair her family . . . if only she can overcome her pride.

So, you the reader can be more closely involved. At the end of the story, D.V. Lang has a delicious surprise for her readers . . . the original recipe created for Grandma’s Holly Berry Cookies. We hope this presents readers with an opportunity to incorporate a new tradition of reading the book while enjoying the cookies. Wither you like them with milk or with eggnog as the characters do, they’re guaranteed to bring joy to the face and heart. If you’re diet is a nut free diet, feel free to adjust the recipe. Try a different liquor, or don’t include either the liquor or nuts. However, you choose to join this new tradition may it relish your taste buds while reading this heartwarming tale!
