Even today, as I weave my narrative through images, the allure of nature’s understated beauty and the historical essence of photography echo in my work.

Q: Your bio mentions a significant showcase in “Optimum Times” and your inclination towards both traditional and AI-driven contemporary techniques. How do you believe this balance informs and enhances your work, especially in projects like Snow Desert?

H: The Optimum Times exhibition was indeed a defining moment in my journey. It crystallized my deep roots in traditional techniques while simultaneously spotlighting my evolving passion for contemporary methods. With Snow Desert, this juxtaposition of the old and the new takes center stage. I aim to blend the enduring charm of conventional photography with the dynamic possibilities of AI. This balance not only enhances the visual narrative but also challenges the viewer to embark on a journey spanning time – from the classic to the contemporary.

Q: Snow Desert seems to draw a parallel between the disruptive nature of AI and the concept of chaos in art. What drove you to merge these ideas, and how do you believe AI can further redefine the boundaries of what’s considered art?

H: The melding of AI with photography has been a transformative journey. When I first ventured into integrating AI, I was venturing into uncharted waters. The unpredictability and versatility that AI brought to the table was both exhilarating and, at times, daunting.

Photography, in its essence, has always been about capturing a moment in time, telling a story, or conveying an emotion. AI augments this process by introducing a new dimension of creativity. It allows us to manipulate, reinterpret, and even predict visual aesthetics, turning the camera into not just a tool of documentation but also one of creation.

However, like any tool, AI has its nuances. The algorithms, while powerful, operate on data and patterns. They don’t “feel” in the traditional sense. That’s where the human touch comes in. I see myself as the conductor of an orchestra where AI is a significant player. It’s my vision and intuition that guides the AI, ensuring that the end result is not just technologically impressive but also emotionally resonant.

I don’t necessarily believe in drawing a rigid line between technology’s influence and the artist’s touch. Instead, I see it as a symbiotic relationship. AI offers a new palette of possibilities, and as an artist, I choose how to employ it to ensure my vision comes to life. The magic happens in the interplay, in the dance between machine intelligence and human emotion, creating art that is both groundbreaking and deeply personal.

Q: Your conversation touched upon Flurries, a project that had you revisit and reinterpret fragments of your childhood. How do you think such deeply personal experiences influence your approach to more technology-focused projects like Snow Desert?

H: Flurries was an expedition into the landscapes of memory, a canvas where the past met the present. Delving deep into my childhood recollections, I found myself confronting a mosaic of emotions—some nostalgic, some painful, some profoundly enlightening. Each fragment of memory came with its own palette of feelings, shaping the visual narrative of the project.

The challenge lay not just in unearthing these memories but in translating them into visual stories without diluting their emotional potency. There were moments of self-doubt, where I questioned the vulnerability of revealing so much of my personal history. But with each challenge, there was a revelation—a renewed understanding of myself as an artist and as a person.

These profound emotional experiences imbued Flurries with a richness that I hadn’t anticipated. It became more than just a project; it was a testament to my past, my growth, and my evolution. This emotional depth, this connection to my personal history, inevitably seeped into my other works. In Snow Desert, even amidst the technological prowess of AI, there is an undertone of introspection. The chaos of AI mirrors, in many ways, the tumultuous sea of emotions we all navigate in our personal journeys.
