Writing a short story is, more often than not, demanding. A whole novel demands even more. For Alfonso Matos, the perfect mixture of musings, a few ancient themes, and evident contemporary events gave rise to his debut novel titled PAIN!
His maiden voyage in writing novels is gathering momentum. Apart from incorporating elements of ancient and current themes, PAIN! entails a story “that will thrill, excite, and educate you,” according to Matos in his Instagram post. The law enforcement professional also added that PAIN! will keep the readers in suspense and wanting more, making it a good read.
Alfonso Matos has decided to allow everyone to be seduced and be a part of the phenomenon: his upcoming novel, PAIN! It will be available in bookstores, on Amazon, and other online platforms nationwide this summer, on June 20. Additionally, it is now up for preorders.
Matos’s life story is a reflection of his book and a testament to his passion. Before he began writing novels, he started his journey in screenwriting. He honed his talent in the arts at the Dominican Republic School of Arts. Interestingly, he is working as a gang and military expert and consultant. His law enforcement work has been lauded by the citizens of the District of Columbia and Maryland, Virginia, DC. His unwavering pursuit of honoring justice, peace, and sense of responsibility has left a significant mark in his community. Like every compatriot, Alfonso Matos is driven to change the world through his commitments, writing, and service in the US military. It is safe to say that his firsthand experience in facing injustices, racism, and national issues birthed his motivation to write PAIN!
“Sometimes we take the pain, mixed with suffering and come out with regrets and displeasure; however, if you use the same formula and add just a little bit of understanding, it could turn you into a well-rounded, strong, and willing person that will succeed,” Matos said.
Alfonso is also a family-centered individual. He aims to cultivate a positive culture so that people from different walks of life would live in harmony. His novel and work clearly reflect the values he treasures. Asked about what encouraged him to create a unique brand for himself, the state actor said that he wants to uplift people worldwide by “demonstrating a love that binds.” He commented that he wants to connect with different groups and dismantle the inefficient machinations of tribalism especially in the USA. Matos is also optimistic that he can introduce to everyone newly developed ideas with a religious undertone that is culturally binding.
Although his book, PAIN!, is yet to be released, it can be preordered. With other books already completed (several directly related to PAIN!) , Matos has high hopes for the future of his career in the media industry. With over 11 appearances in films and on national TV, he is optimistic for the next five years of his life. According to him, he may have already published ten critically and commercially acclaimed books. Moreover, he is also hoping that he will have 10 A-list movies under his name by then.
