Akuna Sets Forth in the Industry with Passion and Music Intertwined

Over the past decades, the music scene has become saturated with harmony, rhythm, and aesthetics best described as generic. Ultimately, it is refreshing to see new faces bring their style and personality as they step toward building their names and brand. After breaking through in his native country with an over-the-top sound, the rapper, singer, and songwriter Ahmed Valdes—better known as Akuna—is on a mission to create some of the most thrillingly vibing music in the entire music scene.

The visionary artist was born and proudly raised in the Republic of Cuba. Growing up in a tropical country, Akuna’s taste has always been nothing but exceptional. Even from his young age of 14, Akuna already started honing his talent in making music. This was the time he recorded his first songs and started writing music.

The talented individual has always looked up to celebrated individuals even as a young kid. He declares that “artists all the way from Tupac and Biggie to 50 Cent and Pop Smoke have motivated me to become who I am today!”

Akuna prides himself on being a person that exceeds the average, taking his place as an example and trailblazer to others. He is the only Cuban rapper with a class of “respect and recognition” in one of the most cutthroat markets in the music industry.

But more than that, Akuna is empowered by his strong passion for the freedom of expression afforded by writing and creating music. His powerful voice tops everything as it binds his unique talent together with his continuous effort to reach the top — taking his career and the rhythms he brings to the next level.

As a trilingual Cuban singer, rapper, and songwriter, Akuna always takes the world by surprise. He constantly explores genres like Latin trap, drill, and reggaeton. Without a doubt, Akuna is not a typical music artist.

His hard work is one of the things that attract his fans the most; he now has over twenty thousand followers in his Youtube channel alone in just a year. And while he considers it to be a great honor, the musician believes it is just the beginning.

Akuna’s fans have called him “Bùho,” meaning owl. This is due to his hard reality punchline which is packed with knowledge visible in every song he has written and released. Because of the wide range of his songs’ content, people of all ages from all walks of life can relate.

The rapper-singer is devoted to impacting the lives of others as he builds his. Akuna humbly climbs his stairway to success as an artist helping young artists achieve their dreams. He hopes to serve those that most need help through organizations he has founded.

Even from the beginning, his music and passion have been intertwined. The entire idea of the music and content he creates is to bring inspiration to others. On the other hand, he integrates the voice and wisdom he has picked up on his journey that everyone can learn from.

Most recently, Akuna released his newest single entitled “TELEPATÍA.” It offers a New York drill type music with Pop Smoke vibes. It aims to entertain and inform others about his individuality.
