Lara-Antonia Heine goes for what she wants, and her journey to realize her dream to be a performer is such a motivation for aspirants all over the globe. She knew from a very young age what she wanted, and at 22, she has competed in countless singing and dancing shows and is proud to have stood on various stages all over Germany.
Born in Germany, Lara received her high school diploma at the age of sixteen. She then received an offer from the BDC Bath Dance College, a specialist performing arts school in the southwest of England. In a leap of faith, she moved to a new country and adapted to a new culture to fulfill her dreams.
Even though she grew to consider England as her home, Lara decided to leave to expand her horizon, and fly. She moved to New York after receiving a scholarship offer from the New York Film Academy when she completed her Musical Theater training at BDC. Always armed to improve her skills as an actress, she then moved to Los Angeles, and that’s where she has been living for the past two years while she’s finishing her Bachelor in Fine Arts at the New York Film Academy campus in Burbank.
Lara’s time at BDC and in the States has shaped her into a strong, young woman who is not scared to take on responsibilities and to live in the moment. One of the most significant roles she has undertaken is that of a director and producer of the play Some Girls by Neil Labute. Together with her former roommate, Lara rented a theater and bought the rights of the play from Broadway Plays. They went through the whole painstaking process of casting, organizing, and advertising for their production. She even played as one of the supporting characters and got to star in the play herself. Thanks to this opportunity, Lara learned how to be truly professional in every challenging situation. It taught her that life is full of chances, and you have to be brave enough to embrace them.
Most notable among Lara’s most significant achievements is her acceptance to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, a highly prestigious drama school in London that provides training for film, television, and theater. RADA is also known for being the hardest to get into.
Lara has such a massive heart for acting, and her goals transcend beyond just getting to work with directors and products all across the globe. She also wants to be an inspiration for other performers who are just starting with their careers.
Her experiences and training made Lara into a versatile and able performer. The years she has spent both in Europe and America have given her an American and European vibe. Fun fact: Lara can speak with a perfect British accent. But if you want her to don an accent entirely foreign, she can do that as well, and you will never be able to guess where she is originally from.
