Francesca Brice-Martin is an inspiring film Director and Producer from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, based in Los Angeles. She discovered her love for filmmaking when she was a kid and started as an actress. But as she grew older her interest shifted to screenwriting. She started writing scripts at 15 and dipped her toes in the production world on TV show sets later. Francesca’s interest slowly evolved towards directing. However, she encountered many challenges in Burkina Faso’s small filmmaking industry.  

She soldiered on and in 2015, she made her directorial debut with her first short film “La Rupture”. In 2019, she moved to LA and enrolled at the New York Film Academy where she obtained a Master of Fine Arts. Though the COVID pandemic was a difficult time, she continued building her filmography.

Francesca has created an impressive filmography that encompasses a variety of short films where she has served as director, writer, producer, and even actor. Additionally, she has contributed her talents to many other projects. As a result, her works have amassed attention and acclaim.  

Most recently, she directed and produced “The Perfect Size”, a comedy that not only makes us laugh but also tackles themes such as male confidence, body image, honesty, jealousy, and vulnerability in relationships. With this short film, Francesca struck the perfect balance between humor and meaningful introspection.  

So, it’s not a surprise The Perfect Size has garnered significant recognition and has 11 different awards to its name including recognition for Best Female Filmmaker, Best Actor (Chad Anderson), Best Comedy Short, and Best Duo, underscoring the film’s ability to resonate with audiences and industry professionals alike.

There’s no doubt Francesca will continue to create amazing things and her exciting upcoming project is a testament to that. “I Am an Addict” is a short film that explores the struggles of a man grappling with drug addiction.
