Timofey Rogov: A Visionary Leader in EdTech

Timofey Rogov, the founder of several successful EdTech startups, shares insights into the evolving landscape of online education. Known for his innovative approach and impressive achievements, Rogov has become a prominent figure in the digital education sector.

From Vision to Reality

Timofey Rogov has been a trailblazer in the EdTech industry, launching numerous high-profile online schools for celebrities such as TV host Lera Kudryavtseva, blogger Katya Clap, and singer Larisa Dolina. One of his most notable projects, “Higher Score School,” has become a significant player in the EdTech market, helping students prepare for exams with remarkable success.

In 2016, as a teenager, Rogov noticed his friends struggling to prepare for exams due to the time-consuming travel required to meet tutors. This inspired him to create an educational platform that met all student needs remotely. Rogov and his team developed innovative methods for analyzing user data, allowing students to find the best matching teachers online.

Within a few weeks, Rogov launched “Higher Score School,” an online school for exam preparation. His meticulous planning ensured that students received top-notch preparation for state exams through online lessons. The platform’s rapid launch and immediate success highlighted Rogov’s expertise and vision.

Educational Impact

Rogov’s projects address multiple important goals. Firstly, students gain confidence in their future by studying at their own pace. Secondly, parents receive assurances of their children’s educational progress. Lastly, teachers benefit from new job opportunities.

Rogov’s mission is noble: to ensure that everyone can access a high-quality education. His efforts have enabled students to enroll in prestigious universities and pursue successful careers.

Remarkable Achievements

In one year, nine students from “Higher Score School” scored perfect marks in Russian language exams, and eight aced their math exams. Such impressive results have drawn attention from industry leaders. In early 2019, Rogov received a lucrative offer to sell “Higher Score School” to a major educational platform “Skillbox”, which he accepted. The school continues to thrive under new management.

Role of a Digital Producer

As a digital producer, Timofey oversees the creation and launch of online schools, develops growth strategies, manages teams, works with experts, and plans and launches products. His expertise spans both hard and soft skills, making him a T-shaped specialist—an expert in a specific niche who also understands other areas.

Rogov’s expertise earned him a spot on the expert council of the “Effective Education 2023” award, a nationwide competition in the field of education. He evaluated projects based on interactivity, AI integration, and content quality. In 2022, he also served as a jury member for the RB Digital Awards, assessing digital transformation initiatives.

A Pioneer in EdTech

From a young age, Rogov understood his calling was in information technology. He began exploring Western technologies that helped him become a trendsetter. With the enthusiasm of a teenager, Rogov delved into the systems behind educational online projects.

Rogov analyzed the business models of online schools and approached content from a marketer’s perspective. He sought to understand why some channels were more popular than others and how to enhance their visibility.

Setting New Standards

Timofey developed universal marketing methods and concepts that have become the foundation of modern online courses and the entire online education market. Despite initial skepticism about his young age, Rogov’s determination to develop top-notch EdTech products and lead the market drove him to success.

He launched several successful online schools, attracting well-known bloggers, singers, and artists. Recognizing the success of those who worked with Rogov, others lined up to collaborate with him.

One of his notable projects includes the online school “How to Become a Popular Blogger?” for lifestyle blogger Katya Clap, who has millions of followers. Rogov also launched an online school for prominent TV host Lera Kudryavtseva.

Youth as an Advantage

Rogov believes his youth has been his greatest asset. While other teenagers were merely watching blogs, he saw the potential for a lucrative career in online education. His deep understanding of the industry and his generation’s needs gave him an edge over older specialists.

Timofey remains actively involved in his work, providing expert evaluations and consultations for various EdTech startups on a charitable basis. His innovative vision has played a key role in shaping the EdTech industry not only in the CIS but worldwide.
