Great educators and authors do more than inform. They inspire, challenge, and reshape perspectives. Throughout history, transformative figures in education and literature have sought to go beyond traditional frameworks, merging intellectual pursuit with personal empowerment. Whether through groundbreaking education, innovative curriculum design, or compelling storytelling, such individuals leave an indelible mark on the world.

James R. Riddle is one such visionary. A decorated U.S. Army veteran, multiple award-winning educator, and internationally recognized author, Riddle has spent decades at the intersection of education, literature, and personal development. His influence extends far beyond the classroom, as he continues to support and encourage students, educators, and readers worldwide.

A Foundation Built on Service and Commitment

Born with a motivation for achievement, Riddle’s early years set the stage for a life of service and impact. He honorably served in the United States Army, earning numerous accolades, including the prestigious Department of the Army Civilian Service Medal twice, for his exemplary contributions as a civilian contractor during the Gulf War.

Upon completing his military service in 1990, Riddle transitioned to a career in education, driven by a passion for shaping young minds. He pursued higher education at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), graduating with honors in English: Creative Writing. His academic excellence earned him induction into the Golden Key and Alpha Chi National Honor Societies, reinforcing his reputation as a dedicated scholar and thought leader.

An Educator Who Inspires Published Authors

Riddle’s career in education is notable for its innovative approach. Over the years, he has worked to expand the role of a teacher beyond conventional lesson plans to foster meaningful, real-world success for his students.

His initiatives have helped at-risk students become published authors, a development that is uncommon in many traditional educational settings. Among his most acclaimed projects is the creation of the books Migrant 915, Migrant 915: Election Edition, and Inheritance of Hate, works that have received recognition from local, state, and federal governments, including the United States Congress.

Riddle’s influence is evident not only in the achievements of his students but also in the broader impact of his curriculum. His ability to support struggling readers to reach higher levels of achievement has been well-documented. Notably, during his tenure at Jefferson High School, two of his students, both facing significant literacy challenges, outperformed over 75,000 students in Texas on the Achieve3000 reading program. His commitment to innovative teaching has earned him numerous awards, including the Achieve3000 District Educator of the Year and Campus Educator of the Year, a distinction he has received seven times.

Building a Legacy Through Curriculum Innovation

Riddle’s contributions to curriculum development extend beyond the classroom. In 2017, he developed El Paso ISD’s PASS Program for the District Alternative Education Program (DAEP), incorporating restorative discipline, social-emotional learning, and life skills training. His expertise in action research led to his role as Lead Researcher for the TIPPS Grant, where he compiled and presented findings to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) on student motivation, engagement, and attendance.

His curriculum work is not limited to K-12 education. In 2023, Riddle founded Mr. Riddle’s Class, LLC, a platform dedicated to teaching aspiring writers how to bring their ideas to life. Through this initiative, he developed The CKD Approach, a book and course designed to teach not only writing skills but also the mindset, discipline, and goal-setting strategies that can be beneficial for success in various fields.

He also has a YouTube channel named “The Christian Alchemist.” Through this channel, he aims to cultivate a community focused on personal empowerment and spiritual enlightenment.

A Prolific Author and Global Influencer

Beyond his contributions to education, Riddle has established himself as a bestselling author of over 21 books, selling more than 300,000 copies worldwide. His acclaimed Complete Personalized Promise Bible series achieved record-breaking sales when Walmart placed an unprecedented 101,700-copy order, a milestone that has solidified his presence in the publishing industry.

His literary works, including the Power Affirmations series, blend faith, personal empowerment, and success principles, resonating with readers seeking positive change in their lives. His latest work, Faith, Focus, and Flow, offers guidance aimed at helping readers overcome limitations and realize their potential.

Shaping the Future of Aspiring Writers

Despite his numerous accolades, Riddle remains dedicated to mentorship and education, consistently supporting aspiring authors as they work toward their goals. His expertise as a master curriculum writer and book writing consultant has positioned him as a respected figure in both the literary and academic communities.
