A Start That Was Never Part of the Plan
James never set out to be a coach. He tried various paths, including the army, construction, and even warehouse shifts. Sales wasn’t the plan, but when he took a short-term job while waiting to work offshore, something clicked.
“I fell in love with people,” he says. “Sales wasn’t just about closing deals; it was about leadership, service, and unlocking potential.”
That insight became his turning point. Over the years, he built commission-only sales teams across the UK, U.S., and Australia. But more than the sales figures, what mattered most was developing people. Coaching became the throughline in every role he took on.
No Ads. No Referrals. Just Systems That Work.
In 2019, James co-founded a conversion rate optimization (CRO) agency that challenged conventional rules. There were no ads, no referrals, and no shortcuts involved. Yet, the firm has generated significant additional revenue for clients.
“All of it came from cold outreach,” James explains. “We focused on solving real problems with clear systems. That’s it.”
Today, the agency partners with 8- and 9-figure brands, offering full-scale CRO systems built around human behavior as much as technology. For James, the lesson was clear: performance isn’t about hustle, it’s about systems that last.
Introducing Beyond Human: A Brand for the Rest of Us
Later this year, James is launching Beyond Human, a wellness and performance venture designed for everyday people who want to operate at their ideal.
“It’s not about being superhuman,” he says. “It’s about building better habits, making smarter choices, and finding balance that helps create long-term performance.”
Beyond Human draws on James’ own experience optimizing sleep, energy, focus, and routines while running multiple businesses and raising a family. The platform will provide coaching, resources, and community support to help others pursue the same.
What He Believes In and Lives By
What sets James apart is that he lives the principles he teaches. His coaching is built on values he refuses to compromise:

What’s Next
Looking ahead, James is focusing on three key areas:
- Scaling Coaching — continuing to work with high performers, from founders and executives to young sales professionals, finding their footing.
- Expanding Beyond Human — developing something for people who want to feel and perform at their ideal without sacrificing their well-being.
- International Growth — continuing to lead one of the UK’s largest commission-only sales companies, with plans for global expansion starting in 2026.
Whether he’s working one-on-one with a founder, helping a sales professional hit their next big goal, or scaling teams across continents, James’ mission remains the same: demonstrating that success doesn’t have to be achieved at the expense of personal health.
“People don’t need more hustle,” he says. “They need truth, systems that last, and coaching that shows them what’s possible.”
