Aidyn comes from a small town in Kazakhstan. His parents divorced when he was just four years old, and his sister was six. His mother raised them on her own, juggling her responsibilities as a student during the day and working in the evenings. Despite all the challenges, Aidyn knew he wanted something more and was willing to work hard to achieve it. He started as a bus conductor and later worked as a waiter. In high school, he engaged in selling ice cream, flowers, fireworks, and mobile phones. It was during this time that the idea of selling goods from China first crossed his mind. After successfully completing school, Aidyn enrolled in university, achieving the highest exam score.
“I enrolled in China, started learning the language there, and it was quite challenging. At that time, I was receiving education in two countries simultaneously: in China and in Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, I managed to start a company, and we began exporting goods to Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The profits were high – enough to buy a car and support my family. In 2019, I participated in a Silicon Valley startup project,” he says.
The pandemic forced Aidyn to return to Kazakhstan in 2020 and complete his master’s degree through distance learning. After the borders reopened, Aidyn resumed his business activities, once again engaging in product distribution.
“In 2021, I traveled to the United States once again, where I established a company and began engaging in merchandise turnover. Our company’s mission is to directly supply goods from factories to customers in the CIS and America. We operate without intermediaries, which is our advantage,” notes Aidyn.
Aidyn Yessengeldi is not only a successful entrepreneur, but he has also created his own blog where he shares stories from his life, motivational ideas, and self-development advice. Despite facing many challenges along the way, Aidyn always found a way to overcome them. One of such obstacles was the pandemic, which had a significant impact on businesses worldwide. In 2020, Aidyn admits that, in order to pay off debts and bills, he sold his car and house.
“In business, I have always been guided by principles of honesty, fairness, and providing high-quality service. It’s essential to be honest and sincere with consumers,” Aidyn confides.
