The Drive to Turn Passion into Business

The best and most successful businesses in the world were once someone’s passion and dream. Turning a dream into reality and bringing ideas to life that were merely thoughts brimming in mind is a true artist’s work. Such people are driven by their goals and have a strong mindset that cannot be shaken no matter how difficult the situation gets. One example is Lala Inuti Ahari, the owner and CEO of “The Conjure,” a company based on spirituality selling spelled candles and body soufflés. The woman is a force to reckon with, as she single-handedly set up her business and took on the role of being an entrepreneur very seriously. Her company’s success results from the immense hard work and efforts that she combined with her extremely supportive family put in day in and day out.

Belonging to a Baptist household, Lala was highly influenced by religion and culture. She was born in April 1977 in Springfield, Ohio. She lived there until she was 13 and then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her dad. Her mother’s side of the family is Baptist, and she was raised very Baptist. Sunday schools, vacation Bible study, church choir, and rehearsal every Wednesday where a church van would be at their house for pickup was the norm in this small town. Her father’s side of the family was more spiritual. However, by the time she turned 20, her beliefs and faiths began changing. She started questioning Christianity and everything that she was taught about it; this was the turning point in her life when she denounced all religions and called herself a student of life.

A Student of Life Starting on an Entrepreneurial Journey

The life and professional journey of an entrepreneur is one of the toughest. The amount of pressure and stress they handle is different from working in their respective fields. From downright rejection to unlimited success, the life of an entrepreneur is like climbing a mountain. If one reaches the top, they have the world at their feet, but if not, they are in the ditch. Similar was the story of Lala Inuti Ahari. Starting a new venture and leaving behind a seventeen-year career in mortgage banking is no small deal. But, with her determination and steady mindset, she managed to establish the business and make it flourish.

Ahari’s family was her source of inspiration. The fact that her mother was a hard-working woman who had 30+ years of experience in the banking and corporate sector also ran a household inspired Lala to the maximum. Her journey into this business started spiritually. She decided to do this when she learned that instead of doing the spiritual work for someone else, why not empower them to do it for themselves; this led to the launch of The Conjure on January 11, 2019.

Having a background in the mortgage banking industry enabled her to grasp the responsibilities and pressures efficiently. Lala Inuti Ahari started in her kitchen and had her living room turned into an entire shipping area. She would have her family come over to help her ship packages. The entire foyer of her home was packed with USPS shipping boxes awaiting the carrier for the next morning. Having started her business with a bang, today, Ahari owns two 5,000-square-foot warehouses and has even employed her Georgia family. She has been extremely successful at using Instagram and social media marketing for her brand. The next step is to take Conjure out in front of people. She understands that the world may not be ready for a company like hers, but some people need to see it.

Being a headstrong person, Ahari finds it extremely necessary to be consistent. She says,

“When I set my mind out to do something related to business, and I take the necessary action towards it, at that point, I’m no longer trying, and I am going to make it work. In December 2018, I was in the trying phase because I was trying to get my business launched. As of January 11, 2019, I was officially doing it.”

Ahari’s business aims to help people get on their spiritual journey. People believe that they are trapped and have no options but live in poverty, fear, anxiety, and trauma. And she wants to change that narrative. As Lala has been able to change it in the past, she believes that she can do the same for many others around the globe. She believes that one can create reality not merely by affirmations or laws. But also by spiritual alchemy and energy bending. The brand is associated with spiritual candles, which cleanse the energy and surround one with good and positive vibes. They work by lighting them in the direction one wants them to work. These candles are effective by invocation and stating the desire and intent.

Lala’s journey from a banking professional to an entrepreneur is inspiring as it requires a lot of courage to switch careers and start from scratch. Although her business is just 2 to 2/5 years old, she dreams of making it big with her skyrocketing energy. Her business has garnered attention from all over the world.
