Despite starting as a “joke,” the Dogecoin cryptocurrency has incredibly solidified its reputation as one of the most well-known cryptocurrencies. Dubbed as the meme coin, it gave rise to thousands of crypto ventures based on memes as well as other pop culture references. Aiming to replicate the same level of success is the upcoming NFT collection, the Bored Doge Club.
The collection is created by a dynamic team of world-class artists, crypto masterminds, and marketing experts with a whopping 200 IQ. It features 8,989 realistic and 3D Bored Doges. In addition, the designs come with remarkable textures that result from a collaboration of highly gifted individuals.
However, more than its unique aesthetic and extraordinary pieces of art, what makes the Bored Doge Club stand out is its unique target market. While other collections in the space are looking for the dreamers, the grinders, and the hustlers, the project aims to connect with individuals who like to take things slow.
It takes inspiration from the exceptional success story of Dogecoin. Not too long ago, many people did not take the cryptocurrency seriously. After all, it was made as a way to poke fun at the wild speculations in the industry. But when Elon Musk and other influential personalities started to endorse Dogecoin, its prices shot up and even became a trending topic on social media platforms such as Twitter.
As its innovative creators confidently explained, “Doge is the people’s cryptocurrency, and we’re the people’s people. We aren’t champions. We aren’t heroes. Hell, we aren’t good at anything. We’re just bored, and we’ve got nothing to lose. We believe in waking up late, quitting work, playing video games, and buying Doge. Because why not?”
Further sharing what motivated them to create the unique collection, the developers said, “We want to bring together people who recognize themselves in our Bored Doge, in his Bored look, as we all are from time to time. We wanted to make sure that everyone could find themselves there, feel accepted and feel like they could be themselves. Indeed, we can’t always be happy or full of energy; sometimes we are Bored, we have the right to be, and we accept ourselves as we are.”
Despite its seemingly lazy approach, the creators of the project still plan on making a significant impact and changing the world. The only difference is that they would rather do it in a relaxed and carefree manner with people who share the same principles.
A lot of people resonated with the relatable and honest message advocated by the venture. Because of its candid and straightforward culture, the Bored Doge Club has amassed a considerable following on Instagram of over 40,000 followers. Even more impressively, it reached more than 150,000 members on its dedicated Discord server just four days from when it was launched.
As the project prepares to launch, the Bored Doge Club has piqued the curiosity of NFT enthusiasts and collectors alike. Because of this, more people have joined the rapidly growing community.
