Sunil Tulsiani was born in a low income neighborhood, in Delhi, India. At the age of 13 he relocated to Toronto, Canada with his family. As an immigrant, he encountered challenges including struggles, racial discrimination and bullying.

Throughout his service he actively participated in high profile cases involving murder investigations, hostage negotiations and undercover operations.
