Selmo.io – A Live Selling Platform Which Is Gaining Recognition in the American Market

Selmo has become a leader in the CEE region and the company is now gaining recognition in the US market thanks to its innovative platform. It helps stores which sell during Facebook live broadcasts to manage their orders faster and to communicate with customers. It saves many hours a day on your everyday activities!

Global leader in live selling

Selmo has quickly achieved global success in live commerce, becoming a leader in eight countries
and acquiring more than 2,500 customers with a total order value in excess of EUR 800 million. This success did not go unnoticed by Forbes, one of the most widely read business magazines.

With the growing live commerce trend, Selmo founders also noticed needs of foreign markets. They decided to expand their business and help US customers  to manage their social media sales more easily. Thanks to their commitment to developing this industry in geographically diversified markets, Selmo specialists are familiar with the best techniques that largely help optimize working time and increase sales volumes.

“The US market is characterized by a similar style of Facebook live broadcasting, but slight differences can be noted in, for example, payment methods, shipping methods, forms of taxation and the general type of broadcasting.

Selmo decided to face these challenges by adapting its services to each customer and the specific market characteristics. Preloved Luxury NYC, a store which mainly needed a sales automation tool for both live broadcasting and in-store activities, is a perfect example here. With Selmo, it is able to manage everything in one place: keep inventory, use automated tools and increase its turnover.”

Simpler and quicker order processing

Recording orders on a sheet of paper, contacting each customer individually, counting products and checking which ones are still in stock – these are situations that online boutique retailers face on a daily basis. The Selmo system is a response to these and many other problems. With Selmo, sellers gain lots of extra time that can be devoted to either the development of their stores or their private lives.

Palazzetto delle Aste, a store that was the first to do live broadcasts in Italy, says that Selmo literally changed their life:

“We sell between 100 and 500 products a day in our store. With Selmo, we can have even up to three live broadcasts per day as we no longer have to spend as much time on order summaries as before. The entire sales management process is automatic now, and sub-counts are sent to customers a few seconds after the broadcast has come to an end, literally with a single click. Selmo has allowed us to process more orders and it made our profit increase significantly.”

– Massimiliano Totta of Palazzetto delle Aste.

Selmo supports stores from the moment a customer adds a comment that they would like to buy a product and continues the support through the process of order creation, payment acceptance, shipment and printing of an invoice or receipt. Additionally, stores can carry out their sales activities on Facebook and Instagram at the same time, and all orders from both platforms are automatically saved in the retailer’s panel. What is most important is that Selmo increases the convenience of sellers, frees them from manual, laborious, and routine work, and also helps them save a lot of time.

Another innovation is the possibility to create an online store. No matter whether a customer places an order during a Facebook live, in a post or in an online store, all products fall into one cart and the customer can pay for everything in one go.

How does Selmo operate?

The selmo.io system enables sale automation through comments – a store can create a code (for example, “selmo dress”) and assign a product to it. The code can be displayed during a live broadcast on a special overlay. When a customer enters this code in a Facebook comment, they will receive a message confirming that the product is in their cart, and they can enter their data and make their payment. The store sees the order with all its details in the Selmo system.

The application facilitates the collection and processing of orders placed during live broadcasts. It gives the seller more control over orders and warehouse stock. Stores that use Selmo can send their summaries (a list of ordered products) to all customers who have made purchases during the live broadcast with just one click.

Selmo’s international success

In Europe only, Selmo is already used by more than 2,500 customers who sell their products during live broadcasts and in posts. The number of customers is increasing all the time. With its huge popularity, Selmo is loved by thousands of store owners for its easy use and for the fact that it solves their problems, such as chaos in orders or unfinished transactions.

“We are growing really rapidly and we are already working on a number of solutions to further help our existing customers save time, increase sales volumes and reach. We have also decided to open up to e-commerce customers because we are convinced that live selling in e-commerce will generate as spectacular results as it does on social media.”

– Kuba Karyś, founder of Selmo.

Selmo is used by stores of all sizes regardless of what they sell and in what quantities. The system has been designed based on customer suggestions, which is why it responds to their needs so well.

“Depending on the size of your business, Selmo offers tailored solutions such as warehouse handling or customer contact automation. We can focus on providing effective tools to support daily work of businesses. Not only do we want to be a technology leader, but we also would like to be a business partner that allows store owners to take their business up to the next level with digitization that is accessible to everyone.”

– Filip Szczepanik, founder of Selmo.
