Ridgeline Roofing and Restoration is a highly respected storm restoration and roofing solutions company that is known for their exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship. Based in Odenville AL, the company has an average rating of 4.9 stars on Google and is A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau, making it one of the highest rated roofing companies in the US. So, how does a roofing company earn such high praises and gain such a loyal customer base? We decided to interview them, and here’s what we found.
Just this year, the company launched their “No Roof Left Behind” program in an effort to help homeowners with storm-related roof damage across Alabama and Tennessee. The program allows homeowners affected by catastrophic weather events to pay as little as $500 out of pocket for a full roof replacement. In most cases these roofs cost upwards of $15,000. How do they do it?
Combined, the two co-founders Chris Baldus and Scott Bullard have 30 years of experience in the roofing industry. The duo has handled thousands of projects to repair damage caused by hundreds of storms. “Time and time again we see homeowners stressed out to the max after a storm hits their home. 99% of them are covered for the damages but in so many cases, people end up under covered for their damages and have to go into their pockets to cover repair costs. That’s just not right.” Says Baldus.
“We launched our “No Roof Left Behind” program for those people. We’ve been in this industry a long time, here’s how things work behind the scenes. Someone’s property is damaged by a storm that blows through the area. Naturally that person calls their insurance company. The insurance company sends a field adjuster out to take pictures and document the damage. That photo report is then sent to the desk adjuster, (an employee of the insurance company) to determine the cost to repair those damages. Nine times out of ten, line items are missing somewhere on the estimate and that property owner is left without enough money to cover the cost of the repair. Oftentimes, insurance providers aren’t undercovering these claims on purpose, though it does happen. If a property owner doesn’t have a professional in their corner who knows what to look for, it just gets swept under the rug.” He continued.
“That’s where we come in. As a roofing contractor, we have a complete understanding of these roofing systems. If you ask me, you don’t really know something until you’ve taken it apart and put it back together. Our team has taken apart and put thousands of roofs back together over the years and that’s helped us gain the level of expertise that we have now. When someone qualifies for our No Roof Left Behind program, we provide support throughout the entire restoration process, from start to finish. When that field adjuster comes out to inspect the property, a member of our team is there on the roof with them. When that desk adjuster sends out their estimate, our team reviews that estimate and sends a counter if necessary to make 100% sure that the property owner doesn’t have to go into their pocket and pay tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to repair the damages to their roof.”
In addition to its focus on customer service, Ridgeline is also leading the push towards a better educated next generation of roofers. The company’s team of professionals is certified in a range of roofing materials, including tile, shingle, and metal, and holds certifications and preferred contractor statuses with top manufacturers such as Certainteed, GAF, and Owens Corning. The company has also completed “IBHS Fortified” training and obtained certifications in wind, hail and hurricane fortified roofing. This specialized training enables the company to offer superior warranties and enhanced durability to the roofing systems they install.
Overall, Ridgeline’s inclination to go above and beyond in customer service, workmanship and continued roofing education has helped them earn their status as one of the highest-rated roofing companies in the US. This year the company has their sights set on expansion into Florida before the 2023 hurricane season. Ridgeline Roofing and Restoration can be reached via their website.
