I was so mean to myself under the guise of confidence, and I think a lot of women can resonate with that.”
Over the years, Corson has learned to treat herself more kindly. The journey, however, was nowhere near easy, and it had to take some eye-opening conversations before she could catch on to the fact that she was treating herself less than she deserved.
“When my mentor bluntly asked me why I felt like I don’t deserve to be loved, I instantly thought, ‘I don’t think that. I think I deserved to be loved.’ I sat there and thought about it,” recalled the Prissy Nikki founder. “All the negative and harsh things I told myself every day came flooding to the forefront of my mind. I burst into tears. It was true – I didn’t think I deserved to be loved by anyone because I didn’t even love myself.”
Now, Corson has come a long way. Through Prissy Nikki, she helps other women navigate their own self-deprecating thoughts, breaking down what self-love is and maneuvering those under her wing toward personal development.
