The past year has seen the crypto industry gain further momentum with the sudden popularity of non-fungible tokens. Since then, more NFT projects have sprung up, giving investors and crypto enthusiasts plenty of options.
NFTs are engineered towards crypto investing and utilize various mediums that range from visual art pieces to music. Still, most NFT projects have settled for digital art with animal themes. Looking to break away from the typical mold, Boba Inu Sugar Club is an NFT project that brings the beloved Shiba Inu together with the popular Boba Tea or Bubble Tea beverage.
The Boba Inu Sugar Club or BISC is a collection of randomly generated digital art pieces that brings two of the most popular figures in East Asia together in the digital landscape. Boba tea has been all the rage for the past decade and has been part of East Asian cultures since the Taiwanese recipe made its way abroad.
The Boba Inu NFTs produced are randomly generated from a selection of over more than 180 traits with varying rarities. Each NFT comes with a different combination of Boba pearls, accessories, backgrounds, and Chinese characters, each with its own unique probability of occurrence. Some of the traits also draw inspiration from pop culture and Japanese anime. The Boba Inu NFTs with sufficient rarities will become eligible for personal merchandise on the project’s e-commerce platform. In addition, there are a total of 8 unique, legendary Bobas in the whole collection.
Each NFT will serve as a personal gateway into a world of tech, investments, and gaming. With a total of 8,000 Boba Inu NFTs, roughly half of the supply will be available for the presale, with the other half for a public sale. In addition, the NFTs have three rarity types: common, genius, and legendary.
“We believe that much of the value of NFT art lies within originality,” said the Boba Inu team. “With the abundance of mock projects in the current NFT space (apes, doodles, invisible objects), we decided to stick to our own style and create something new and original out of things we love. We like dogs. We like Bubble Tea. So we combined them together to create a cute and refreshing experience for our followers.” The Boba Inu Sugar Club keeps its followers updated through Twitter, Instagram, and Discord.
The creators of the NFT project come from a place where many of their fondest childhood memories stem from the savory aromas of street delis and the matchless satisfaction of a cool Boba Tea on a hot summer day.
“To us, boba tea is not just an ordinary sweet drink to quench our thirst,” explained the NFT creators. “It represents our memories with friends and loved ones; a hardworking street vendor’s method of providing for his family, an upset child’s solace, an emblem of once being a kid. We hope to share this passion of ours with everyone around the world, in hopes that we can all remember the things we each cherish most growing up so that we can treat everyone around us with love.”
Although there is no public launch date set yet, the Boba Inu team plans to have it in mid-April, giving whitelist individuals time to mint before the public sale.
