Mateyko’s career took flight in the world of finance at Dean Witter in 1999, in the bustling hub of New York City, laying the groundwork for a vibrant career that encompassed renowned financial institutions like Atlas Securities, US Bancorp, Chase, and Fifth Third Securities. His impeccable ability to gain clients, manage expansive portfolios, and drive profitable growth frequently placed him among top performers in these organizations, demonstrating his aptitude in the field.
In 2010, Mateyko took a monumental step and founded IDEX Financial in the Zurich Towers of Schaumburg, IL. He broadened the company’s reach in 2018, expanding into Atlanta, Georgia through the acquisition of a financial planning practice.
Mateyko’s relentless pursuit of excellence is demonstrated through his extensive list of certifications. He holds the titles of a Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP), a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP), and an Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA), and is currently studying for the CIMA through the Yale School of Management. Beyond his professional life, Mateyko is deeply integrated into his community. He founded the Serenbe Athletic Association in 2021, acting as Commissioner for the co-ed leagues of Chicago-style Softball and Kickball. His involvement isn’t limited to sports; Mateyko has also demonstrated a passion for the arts. He was Christian Bale’s part-time stand-in on Batman Begins (’05) and Public Enemies (’09). He even founded the SMZ Community Theater Group to raise funds for Acton Academy in Serenbe, raising an impressive $451,000 to date.
His adventures also span the globe; alongside his wife Slavyana, whom he proposed to at Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, they have experienced honeymoons and babymoons in picturesque locales like the Amalfi Coast, Rome, and Lake Como. An outdoor enthusiast, Mateyko has dived in the Philippines, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Italy, Portugal, and even the whale shark exhibit in the Georgia Aquarium. He was also part of the victorious foredeck crew in the Midwinters San Francisco Bay Race.
