Make Your Voice Mean Business® with Speaker Coach Helen Moses

It is no secret that the power of the human voice carries a lot of weight, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships and self-affirmations. Speaking from the heart is a talent that we can all develop, and North Carolina–based voice and communication specialist Helen Moses hopes to impart this knowledge to people everywhere.

As a master of speaking from the heart herself, Helen Moses has built a substantial career as a distinguished professional. She has established her authority on the power of the human voice as a speech-language pathologist, classically trained singer, professional speaker, and voice empowerment coach.

TEDx also plays a large role in Helen’s professional life. Having coached TEDx speakers for the past four years, she will take the TEDx stage herself for the first time in June 2022, in Lake Junaluska, NC. The TED value of “ideas worth spreading” also applies to Helen’s work with her individual clients. As a coach, author, motivational speaker, and proud owner of her own company Speak Up Communications, she believes that everyone has a voice worth hearing.

When Helen was a fledgling in the industry, she recalls, she was still a bit of a people-pleaser who worried about saying all the wrong things out of fear of rejection. She realized she wasn’t speaking from the heart and was driven by fear of judgment instead of looking inward for affirmation of her value.

Helen chronicled her journey to authentic self-confidence in her best-selling prescriptive memoir, Voice Unleashed: Speaking Up With Faith and Courage. Recently, she released the audiobook version, recorded in her own voice.

Helen now confidently speaks from the heart to empower amazing professionals and entrepreneurs who are tired of being less impactful than they know they can be. With over 30 years of combined training and experience as a musician, speaker, leader in her church and community, and Distinguished Toastmaster, Helen leverages her voice as a versatile instrument at her disposal. She has honed and refined the power of her voice to inspire others, and encourage every person to bring their authentic voice to light.

Nowadays, Helen is a sought-after coach, presenter, and speaker who trains customer-facing teams at Fortune 1000, pharmaceutical, and financial corporations. With warmth and compassion grounded in her own life journey, Helen inspires positive change within the lives of others. She helps them overcome their unique communication challenges, from everyday conversations to sales and customer service calls, to keynote presentations, whether virtually or in person.

Her Make Your Voice Mean Business® philosophy and techniques have given countless individuals a renewed sense of self, showing them that they too can harness the power of the human voice.

Helen has been pulling out all the stops to spread her message of positivity and goodwill. This coming January 2022, she is ushering in the new year with the launch of her six-week virtual group coaching program, Amplify. This in-depth experience will help participants discover and overcome core communication issues stopping them from reaching their professional and personal goals.

With many new and exciting projects in the works, including a group coaching program for people who want to give a TEDx talk one day but don’t know where or how to start, Helen plans to share her message with an even bigger worldwide audience in 2022.

Our current society has become more divided now than ever, it seems, and how people communicate is at the root of the division. Helping people find common ground with and speak respectfully to others who have different perspectives is important to the work that Helen is drawn to. She is a major proponent of listening to and learning from each other to find creative and practical solutions to the many challenges that the world is facing today.
