Josias Jean-Pierre On Changing Mindset and Giving Hope

Almost all people dread to experience failure in life, be it in the face of love or a career. That’s why many avoid it or give up easily when faced with an unfortunate circumstance. However, one must approach failure as a permanent fixture of life. Yes, failures can be very painful and distressing, but it does not define a person nor prevent him/her from achieving success. Rather, it is a catalyst that paves the way for new beginnings if one embraces it fully. This is how Josias Jean-Pierre perceives life to be.

At an early age, Josias learned to develop a mindset of hope when there was none. As a native of Haiti, Josias did not have the best life. When he was born, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, which prevented him from efficiently processing information. Yet his learning disability did not stop him from realizing his fullest potential. His past experiences molded him into what he is today: an author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker centered on changing the lives of people through his powerful yet engaging discussions.

For him, our mind is a powerful organ that shapes what we believe and how we think. He embodied a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. Instead of focusing on his disability, he looked outward and paid attention to what he could offer to the world. He learned how to beat the odds and overcome the obstacles presented to him. Indeed, there is power in believing one can accomplish anything by seeing setbacks and challenges as a medium for growth. His resilience in the face of adversity has unshackled him from the role society has placed on him from the get-go.

Currently, Josias Jean-Pierre is living in Seattle, Washington continuing to share the gospel of hope. His passion as a motivational speaker has allowed him to speak to a thousand crowds and lead workshops on self-development, leadership, and finding one’s identity and purpose. Among his speaking events was the Civic Leadership Conference in Washington state for TRIO, which prioritizes education enhancement for students, especially those with disadvantaged backgrounds. Moreover, Jean-Pierre shared various connections with celebrities, political analysts, and professional players. A few of them are John Carlos, a former track and professional football player, Angela Davis of CNN, Dr. Cornel West, Les Brown, EricDyson, and Fred Hampton Jr.

Aside from being a motivational speaker, he also embodies the lifework of an author. He succeeded in publishing two self-help books called “The Power of Your Words” and “What is Your Why Behind the Drive.” These two books are a passion project that aims to inculcate the message of hope, fulfillment, and positivity among individuals both in offline and digital space. His books became an instant hit on the market and have helped transcend the lives of many people who seek hope in their lives.

As a testament to his firmness of purpose, he strives hard to reach a large audience for him to communicate his message of hope. He had been featured in numerous articles from different publications. On the other hand, what sets him aside from the rest is his ability to code-switch with various individuals. This way, he gets on a deeper personal level with them.

At the end of the day, Josias Jean-Pierre is dedicated to “teach the powerless how to become powerful. According to him, “I want to help the helpless and teach them how to learn the steps needed to rise above any given circumstance.” Learn more about him by checking out his Instagram.
