John Truelson: The pilot, officer, and now an entrepreneur who creates ripples of growth in the aviation industry.

“Lone Star Aviators” is his brainchild, which today has grown as the premiere Private Jet Charter, Aircraft Maintenance, and Aviation Sales provider across Texas.

Having the vision to achieve something in life is one thing and making every possible effort, grinding each day and fearlessly moving forward to turn those visions into reality is a different thing altogether. John Truelson, pilot, officer, and now entrepreneur, effortlessly fits in the latter category and motivates others to do so to love their dreams and make them their reality, just like he did. The Houston, Texas-based pilot today has enthralled all with his aviation company called “Lone Star Aviators” in Texas and now aims to turn it into a fixed base operator.

Getting into detail about his journey, John Truelson says that he was always passionate about aviation, and his love for planes began when he was a kid as he would watch jets fly overhead in Dallas. However, he never knew that stepping into the aviation industry could even become a reality for him until he learned that a college in East Texas offered flight training. This changed the trajectory of his career and life, and he began studying for it hard. He earned an Associate of Science degree from Central Texas College and transferred to Texas A&M, Central Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation in 2012. He started with being a flight instructor at Central Texas College, where he achieved a 100% pass rate from his students. He even worked part-time as a corporate pilot, flying a Mitsubishi MU2, and then as a commercial pilot for GoJet Airlines.

After that, John Truelson spent a year flying travellers throughout North America on Delta Connection and United Express while also working as a freight pilot. He took multiple steps forward when he decided to serve his country and join the Air Force, where he had to learn to fly all over again. He scored 99 percentile in his entrance exams, flew the T-6 and T-38, finishing with the Formation Top Gun awards. He would fly the B-1 bomber in the Air Force Reserve, including a combat tour in the Middle East, and is still an active member of the Texas Air National Guard. Not just that, John Truelson also has worked for the Department of Defense, providing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance in multiple OCONUS locations.

Getting into entrepreneurship, he started Lone Star Aviators to take the aviation industry to greater success levels, with his aviation company focused currently on private jet charter and aircraft

maintenance. The cockpit, the plane, everything related to that has been his happy place, and he aims to work much more for the industry through his company in the coming years.
