Her entrepreneurial journey started with her cake baking and decorating business, Jam’s Cakes. She also featured twice in the popular Cake Master’s magazine, and over the years, she has channeled all her energy into her business and built it from the ground up.
Her cake business has transitioned into a training academy for other people who want to become bakers. Students from across the globe take her classes online to learn baking and business techniques. At a point, while still running her business, Jamilla Phillip returned to school for her master’s degree. Upon earning her Masters, Jamilla decided to open up her own practice as a business, and got the calling to help other people build their businesses as well. She established The IDEAL Project for teenagers looking to start a business of their own. The IDEAL Project focuses on online classes, training resources, business mentorship, and business grants to give teenagers a head start in their entrepreneurship journey. She is solely dedicated to this new calling of helping budding entrepreneurs gain a strong footing in the business world and walking with them to the point of independent success. Jamilla Phillip organizes live online classes where she shares helpful resources, curriculum guide forms, and activity sheets to guide these new business owners.
She has built a business herself from scratch and made it successful. I love working directly with business owners to help them achieve their goals.
