Innovation and business are two major things driving the world’s economy today, and Jamilla Phillip has conquered in the field that she chose. As an entrepreneur from New York who has made six figures in income from her baking business, she is willing to pass on some of her knowledge and strategies for running a business.
Jamilla Phillip is the owner of Jam’s Cakes Online Academy, The Ideal Project, and The Peaceful Practice. Her entrepreneurial journey started with her cake baking and decorating business, Jam’s Cakes. She also paid her dues in the baking industry by participating in multiple cake competitions on various television channels such as Food Network. She also featured twice in the popular Cake Master’s magazine, and over the years, she has channeled all her energy into her business and built it from the ground up.
Her cake business has transitioned into a training academy for other people who want to become bakers. Students from across the globe take her classes online to learn baking and business techniques. At a point, while still running her business, Jamilla Phillip returned to school for her master’s degree. Upon earning her Masters, Jamilla decided to open up her own practice as a business, and got the calling to help other people build their businesses as well. This was how The IDEAL Project was birthed.
She established The IDEAL Project for teenagers looking to start a business of their own. The IDEAL Project focuses on online classes, training resources, business mentorship, and business grants to give teenagers a head start in their entrepreneurship journey. Jamilla Phillip noticed a dearth in small business resources, and decided to create an avenue for people to start their businesses and flourish.
She is solely dedicated to this new calling of helping budding entrepreneurs gain a strong footing in the business world and walking with them to the point of independent success. Jamilla Phillip organizes live online classes where she shares helpful resources, curriculum guide forms, and activity sheets to guide these new business owners.
She has built a business herself from scratch and made it successful. According to Jamilla, “I take pride in saying that I’ve helped hundreds of small business owners increase their confidence and sales for their business. I love working directly with business owners to help them achieve their goals. I create effective business programs to help steer entrepreneurs in the right direction to avoid the harsh trial and error process with their businesses.”
Jamilla Phillip is targeting anyone with dreams to become an entrepreneur, and she accepts all students interested in running a business. She doesn’t just stop at teaching her students how to start and run a business; she also provides further assistance to ensure their continued success. From her motivation to start this training academy, this entrepreneur does not plan to stop anytime soon. In fact, in five years’ time, she hopes to expand her academic content and employ more instructors. She also plans to start a grant program in public schools for students to have access to funds and start profitable businesses before going to college.
Entrepreneurship is a marathon, and Jamilla Phillip believes every entrepreneur should learn how to do business and improve on it. Learn more about her on her website.
