Vinod Somareddy, started his practice, Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy, in 2003 and built it in a densely, competitive marketplace. They were the smallest practice at the time in their geographical location. Now they’re one of the biggest on Long Island and have had the opportunity to be trusted as a Board Trustee at the American Physical Therapy Association with their political action committee for eight years . Vinod has been asked for lectures and speaking engagements throughout the country as he is one of the top providers of home physical therapy in the tri state area.
Starting Up A Company
Vinod originally started out doing a very specific physical therapy technique at Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy. He shortly after noticed well known notable patients getting results, and they began referring Vinod to others throughout the years. This led to creating them to have the ability to provide services to patients without any stops for their situation, and that arose to the home therapy part of their business. Quickly but effectively, they were able to grow with a team that was able to service a broad amount of patients that needed their care not only for physical therapy, but as well as occupational therapy.
Obstacles Faced
Somareddy had to face countless obstacles before he could be where he is now, as he started off with nothing, just an idea and a concept. It was up to him to initiate a plan and go through with it if he wanted his concept to turn into reality. As he was a new physical therapist, he didn’t know anything about management, insurance contracts, hiring, financial management and marketing, which is all very crucial in starting up. That was easily one of his biggest challenges as he had to learn everything from scratch, as he was not taught any of that in school. What he and his staff have been able to build has become what’s well known and now thought of as Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy.
Journey To Success
It wasn’t easy for Vinod to get to where he is now, as he had limited knowledge in many different aspects, leading him to learn everything on his own solely through countless hours of studying, experience, and practice. He then adds on to this by stating “Now at our size it has been difficult as there’s no road map on doing it from an educational viewpoint.” Only willpower and dedication is what would help one to go through with their goals in life, fortunately enough, Vinod had plenty of both.
Uniqueness Within The Industry
What makes Somareddy so different within his niche is that they focus on being very quick with their patients in regards to responding to them or delivering to them the status of their care. They have taken the approach of expanding their business, Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy, through NY which is not an easy terrain to mitigate. They go out of their way to see and accommodate patients everywhere so they can each receive an opportunity for being treated safely for both physical therapy and occupational therapy, whether it be in the clinic or in the comfort of their own home.
