In the world of custom jewelry, Aanik Adatia, better known as Scoobie Da Jeweler, is a rising authority. With his extensive background in the jewelry business, having been exposed to his family’s business for years, Scoobie Da Jeweler never fails to deliver the best custom pieces his clients’ minds can imagine.
Scoobie Da Jeweler started his way into the business at 16 during the recession when his family’s jewelry business was completely slow. Faced with adversity, the entrepreneur thought of different ways to continually serve their clients amid challenging times, especially when jewelry is not essentially seen as an immediate need.
“I figured if gas prices are four dollars a gallon, then why not sell on eBay and save people money instead of driving,” said Scoobie Da Jeweler. After discovering his innovation, the entrepreneur was able to help his family keep their business afloat. Since then, he has been hooked on the jewelry industry and has made it his mission to create a trusted custom jewelry brand in the United States.
By helping out in their family business, Scoobie Da Jeweler was able to support himself through college until he landed his first corporate job. But then, the COVID-19 pandemic took its toll on corporate America, pushing him to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and take on the jewelry game full-time. Scoobie Da Jeweler shifted his focus to producing custom jewelry pieces and, zooming in to 2022, emerged as one of the most sought-after jewelers by professional UGA players in the country.
His clientele includes A-listers, athletes, and celebrities, but Scoobie Da Jeweler treats all his clients equally. “I don’t let my famous clients drive my ego to ignore the rest. I love all people, and I love to help people understand the jewelry business and pricing and craftsmanship of the work I do for the client but less of the cost,” he explained. Citing an example of his work ethic, Scoobie Da Jeweler shared that he always guides his clients to make conscious investment decisions, knowing how reckless other UGA players can be with money. Putting profit second, he encourages his clients to prioritize school and football first before buying their bling.
Furthermore, Scoobie Da Jeweler ensures that his clients get value for their money. Unlike his competitors, he delivers quality pieces that never break the bank. He also offers his custom jewelry at lower prices for a number of reasons; the most significant contributor is that he does not own a store where he has to pay rent because he showcases his custom jewelry inside his family business. He is also transparent in laying out all the options for his clients, such as metal and stone choices. Scoobie Da Jeweler’s customer service is also unmatched, responding quickly to his client’s inquiries at any time. In addition, the entrepreneur is willing to work with anyone with a decent amount of budget, believing that custom jewelry should not only be exclusive to the well-off few but for everyone.
Inspired by David Goggins’ quote, “uncommon amongst uncommon people,” Scoobie Da Jeweler knows what he needs to do to stand out from the rest. After experiencing uncomfortable circumstances, he finds that the best way to be who he wants to be is to start from the bottom and shares that he is still uncomfortable to this day with a lot of room for growth.
Over the next five years, Scoobie Da Jeweler aims to be the best in his field, with his service rooted in honesty, realness, and trust, and he is already a step closer to his goal.
