How Milk Tyson Makes a Difference with Fighting All Monsters (FAM)

The reality of childhood cancer is a heartbreaking and life-altering experience for numerous families across the country today. Each year, an estimated 15,780 children with ages ranging from birth to 19 years old are diagnosed with cancer, according to the American Childhood Cancer Organization. This also means that one in every 285 children in America are diagnosed with cancer before they reach the age of 20. Milk Tyson, the founder of Fighting All Monsters, knows this all too well and cannot find himself watching from the sidelines as children and their families suffer unbearably. Through his non-profit organization, he is finding ways to raise support that will impact cancer patients and their families in an uncommon yet profound way. 

Milk Tyson intentionally designed Fighting All Monsters to be unique and to be a thriving organization sans the elegant fundraising galas and fun fare. Instead, it simplifies the whole donation process and pours out its resources to empower cancer moms and their children to boldly fight the disease, knowing that they have a support group that cares for them. 

One of the most recent initiatives that Fighting All Monsters organized was a well-deserved beach getaway for 60 cancer moms from 30 different states. They were flown to Islamorada in Florida free of charge and were made to enjoy six Waterfront mansions courtesy of Keys Ocean Views, private chefs preparing catered meals, live shows, fireworks, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and 24-hour beach massages that were all designed to revitalize these hardworking and exhausted moms. 

They were also made to experience outdoor activities that included snorkeling, paddle boarding, and sightseeing on board boats. Milk Tyson also made sure that each woman got to enjoy a bit of shopping as well. The all-expense-paid trip was intended to give these moms a break from taking care of their children so they can return stronger, happier, and more than able to serve the needs of their children. Among the participants were at least a dozen mothers who recently lost their children to cancer. Fighting All Monsters organized a special lantern release night, which the team called Letters to Heaven. Each mom who had lost a child to cancer wrote a note on the lantern and released it to the beautiful night sky. 

“We want readers to look at our non-profit in a different way. Every reader could make an impact,” Milk Tyson explained. “We want to be accessible to the general public and do so with a game plan of full transparency, human to human connection, and minimal bureaucracy. We are loud, but our voice is distinguished and rises above the noise of other non-profits because our actions are bold. We host flashy live giveaways, show off our favorite little superheroes, and have come out swinging, giving away more money and larger percentages of our resources directly to FAMilies, than other foundations who have been around for years have ever done,” he added. 

Milk Tyson believes that everyone has the capacity to help in their own way and impact the lives of cancer patients and their families significantly. Putting the word out there that Fighting All Monsters is spearheading the war against childhood cancer is a way of informing people that they have a choice to take part in it, that they, too, can make a difference by doing something extraordinary for these families. 

As Milk Tyson and the Fighting All Monsters team continue to work tirelessly to become the leading childhood cancer organization in the world in the coming years, he hopes that more families facing childhood cancer will find the solace and encouragement they need to fight and survive.
