Yannis Noé, an emerging French interior designer, cultivated his talent on the enchanting streets of Paris, where he also pursued his studies. However, in July 2021, against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yannis Noé decided to cross the Atlantic and fly to New York for an educational experience as an international student. This first encounter with the Big Apple proved to be instant love at first sight. Even though the city was strangely silent due to pandemic restrictions, Yannis Noé was immediately won over by the magic of New York. The contrast between daily life in a normally bustling metropolis and the quiet, almost deserted city that was open to him during this particular period of closure to tourists reinforced his sense of privilege.
Yannis’s journey to New York not only marked a significant geographical shift but also a transformational phase in his artistic career. The city’s rich cultural diversity and the dynamic blend of architectural styles provided him with a new canvas for his interior design aspirations. He quickly realized that his experiences in Paris had laid a solid foundation, but New York was the place where he could push the boundaries of his creativity.
Yannis Noé felt like a special guest in this iconic metropolis, adopted by the city itself.
During his stay in New York, Yannis Noé met another French compatriot who had been living in the city for over a year for his law studies. To his great surprise, he discovered that this compatriot was simultaneously involved in assignments with an interior design studio, James Stanley NY, a renowned architect based in the opulent Tribeca district.
In the months that followed, Yannis Noé returned to New York for a three-month internship at James Stanley’s studio. During this period, he was immersed in projects that rekindled his passion for interior architecture. At the conclusion of his internship, both parties agreed to continue their professional adventure remotely, thus consolidating their fruitful collaboration.
THE BABYLON 130

Back in Paris to complete his studies, Yannis Noé began his fifth and final year at LISAA Paris. Despite his hectic schedule, he felt a sense of emptiness and boredom. It was then that the urge to challenge himself further prompted him to enter an internationally renowned interior design competition, the International Property Awards, founded in 1993. In Manhattan, in this 130-square-meter apartment residence, a captivating harmony emerges, blending sophisticated modernity with subtle luxury, embellished by a touch of ‘70s Italian vintage. Yannis Noé deliberately opted for French furniture, celebrating his country’s exceptional craftsmanship while embracing a cosmopolitan vision.

THE BABYLON 130 also enjoyed international success, receiving two prestigious awards at the International Property Awards 2023 / 2024: «Best Residential Apartment in New York» and the honorable «Best Residential Apartment in America.» Yannis Noé distinguished himself as the youngest participant in the competition, an achievement that earned him a press article in Forbes France entitled the interior designer who runs faster than his shadow.
An emerging talent with ambition and energy, Yannis Noé is a name to remember in the world of interior architecture, in Paris, New York and beyond.
