As TikTok Shop continues to reshape e-commerce through content-driven product discovery, a recent partnership with Fastmoss—TikTok’s largest data service platform with over 2 million global users—marks an important development in how creators and brands connect at scale.
At the center of this strategic collaboration are Qi Shen, the product design lead at TikTok Shop, and Eric Shi, Founder of Fastmoss. In a recent conversation, the two shared insights on the collaborative process that led to the launch of a new creator commerce infrastructure—one now helping shape the future of influencer marketing.
Bridging Data and Commerce: The Challenge
“We built Fastmoss to support creators and brands through data,” explains Eric Shi, Founder of Fastmoss. “We already assisted thousands of brands and influencers worldwide, but to expand into commerce at scale, we needed to integrate directly with TikTok Shop.”
Fastmoss’s app allows creators to access real-time product data, choose relevant items for promotion, generate custom affiliate links, and track their commission-based earnings. However, enabling these creator tools to sync with TikTok Shop’s merchant backend required a technically sound, integrated, and compliant solution.
TikTok Shop’s Product Leadership
Qi Shen, serving as the TikTok Shop product lead for this initiative, oversaw the entire product design and platform integration process.
“Eric and his team had a clear vision,” says Shen. “My role was to design and lead a system that could synchronize merchant product catalogs from TikTok Shop to the Fastmoss platform through APIs, generate trackable creator links, and enable secure, scalable data sharing.”
Key aspects of Qi Shen’s work include designing the API interface for real-time merchant product syncing, creating unique, trackable affiliate pathways for creators, enabling transparent revenue tracking within Fastmoss’s creator-facing app, and ensuring full compliance with TikTok’s internal systems and international policy frameworks.
Launch Success and Impact
The integrated system launched in July 2024, and within weeks, thousands of creators began sourcing products through the Fastmoss app, while participating brands saw increased exposure and GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) growth through creator-led promotions.
“Since launch, we’ve observed noticeably higher conversion rates and creator retention,” says Shi. “Qi Shen’s ability to translate a complex integration into a user-friendly, compliant, and scalable product experience was crucial to our success.”
Setting a New Industry Standard
This collaboration is now regarded as an example of effective platform–partner synergy in the creator economy. By bridging e-commerce, influencer discovery, and data intelligence, TikTok Shop and Fastmoss are uncovering new opportunities for global creator monetization.
“Qi Shen didn’t just lead a product integration,” adds Shi. “She helped build a new layer of the TikTok Shop ecosystem—one that’s already influencing how creators and brands connect.”
Next Steps in Global Commerce
As TikTok Shop continues to expand globally, the system co-developed by Qi Shen and Fastmoss is likely to become integral infrastructure—enabling creators to earn more effectively, and brands to scale with trust and performance-driven insights.
