Dawn Michelle Chamberlain’s story is a compelling narrative of determination and transformation. Spending two years, two months, two weeks, and two days in federal prison was a significant life setback, marking her journey from operating a multi-million-dollar enterprise to living behind bars.
Back in 2004, Chamberlain was a successful entrepreneur. She was the CEO of a flourishing tax preparation agency, where her prowess in number crunching fostered financial empowerment in her community. As her clients experienced newfound financial freedom through maximizing tax returns, Chamberlain’s desire to provide larger benefits grew. Unfortunately, this led her down an unethical path, resulting in drastic consequences.
By 2008, Dawn became the subject of a five-year investigation into tax fraud against the United States. Indicted in 2013 and incarcerated in 2014, she faced losing everything she had built: her business, family, and way of life. She compared her impending prison sentence to a death sentence, a brutal transition into isolation.
However, Dawn’s 2016 release from prison unveiled a reinvented woman. She didn’t lose her spirit or desire to help others; instead, she emerged stronger and more focused. Chamberlain has since become an international keynote speaker, master trainer, coach, and author, inspiring many with her fervor and resilience. She actively empowers budding business owners to tackle challenges head-on and navigate their way to success.
Now, Dawn serves as the CEO of Dawn Michelle Enterprises Inc. and the Chief Visionary Officer of the Felon Friendly Foundation. In these roles, she provides clients with effective strategies to grow their businesses and align with their purpose. She also created No Hustle University, a pioneering coaching program that offers extensive entrepreneurship education and training.
Dawn’s influence extends beyond the entrepreneurial scene. She supports the Second Chance Act, promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in all aspects of life for those affected by the justice system. As Chairperson of the Hooper Councill Positive Potential Project, she helps reintegrate high-risk individuals back into the community.
On her new path, Dawn will host her TV series on the Onstage Plus Network and release her book, “Stop Playing! Get Your Shiii Together: From Fed Life to Legit Business Life”. The book intends to inspire readers to establish successful businesses regardless of their past or current circumstances.
