What prompted you to acquire BBQs.com?
Organic market share and business through SEO/Organic Traffic sources have always been our number one focus at BBQGrills.com. For years, I have always looked for bold and memorable domain names to either redirect to BBQGrills.com or build other businesses on top of it. Over the years we have acquired BBQGrills.com, the company we all know and love, BBQGrill.com, and now BBQs.com. In the e-commerce space, finding an easy-to-remember and focusing domain on your product offering is primary to any successful online business.
What are your plans for BBQs.com?
Currently, we are simply redirecting the direct traffic from BBQs.com to BBQGrills.com, a channel that generates between 5-10k visitors per month, all organic. Our plans for this domain are not being discussed privately, however, I will state that what we have planned for this venture will create an ecosystem of sites that brings together all families of brands, customers, and creators. It is going to be unlike anything any industry has seen before, and I believe it will create a billion-dollar wave of new development in the outdoor shopping scene.
Besides BBQs.com, what else can we expect from BBQGrills.com going into 2024?
BBQGrills.com has quickly grown into a company/idea that none of us expected. We started in 2019 with my last $600 and have swiftly taken this company to $15 million in overall revenue, with no outside funding or internal/external investing. Lastly, we have done all this organically and with no advertising. Going into 2024, we have brought on two new agencies to help grow our business:
Google SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Service
We have recently brought on a company to manage all our organic and SEO traffic, and even within the last 30 days, have already witnessed an increase of 150% in overall traffic, in one of the slowest seasons of our business. Our main keywords such as BBQ Grills, have also jumped from position 56 to 5, which is incredible.
Google PPC Service – We are also opening the Google Ad portion of our business, something that we have never done. Already, we are seeing a sharp increase in overall conversion and traffic. Our goal over the next year is to bring 10-15% more visitors to the website, however, we are already seeing an increase of 30-35% in visitor traffic from this source.
