Every year, every woman of the past, present, and future is celebrated during Women’s Month. This annual event not only hopes to recognize any progress made in terms of gender equality and emphasize the strides that society, as a whole, needs to take in order to address the issue of inequality but also highlights the contributions of those who are choosing to challenge the status quo. Through her work at the helm of Rock and Body Shop, Ana Kat demonstrates that women from all walks of life are forces to be reckoned with.
Rock and Body Shop is an energy wellness store based in De Pere, Wisconsin. Since its establishment, it has managed to build relationships and share experiences with people across the country and is set to expand its community of like-minded individuals in the coming years. This growing brand was founded by Ana Kat, a purpose-driven personality who once doubted the utility of carving her own path to success.
“I used to think being different was not a good thing, but I trusted my gut and created a culmination of the imperfectly perfect,” the inspirational go-getter shares. Today, after noticing a divide in traditions and astutely observing a sense of taboo surrounding energy work, she stands behind a business dedicated to creating an all-inclusive safe space.
At the core of Rock and Body Shop is the acknowledgment that there is so much to learn about people’s bodies and countless tools and methods exist to promote wellness. “I discovered the power behind subtle energy movement after my Dad suffered a life-altering disease called Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which left him paralyzed,” the self-starter expounds. This particular experience started a chain of realizations, one of which is the recognition that there is much more to life in the “unknown.”
Over the years, Ana Kat deepened her understanding of the human body, studying it from the perspective of Reiki and eventually exploring energy wellness. Years down the road, she serves as a trusted resource in the field, teaching athletes how to link their minds and bodies, dealing with people undergoing major medical illnesses, working with teenagers who are struggling, helping those suffering from grief and loss, and allowing those under her wing to expand upon how they can learn about themselves on a deeper level.
Admittedly, this brainchild of Ana Kat has brought a touch of skepticism but amidst the doubts, she pushed through, staying afloat in the face of a pandemic and helping countless individuals across the United States. Although the future promises to still be rife with questions and challenges, she plans to remain firm in her faith in the importance of energy wellness.
In the coming years, Ana Kat aims to collaborate with sports teams, teach the modalities promoted by the Rock and Body Shop, work in hospitals, and have brands recognize her as a trusted partner. More than anything else, as she continues to create conversations about energy wellness, she is also setting her eyes on serving as an example for others to follow, proving a testament to the importance of embracing one’s strengths and creating a unique standing for oneself in a world that may not have a place for them initially.
