A wife, mother, Real Estate Broker, Remodelista and TV Star, Egypt Sherrod, shows women all around the world that they can have it all

Egypt is certainly exceptional in her ways and is not an ordinary woman. She is not just one of the bright lights of HGTV but also the CEO of The Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group, a former columnist for Atlanta Magazine, and a frequent guest on various TV programs. Sherrod has been working hard since she was a youngster and is the definition of a self-made woman. Her ability to balance a very successful job and her family is inspiring, but the tale of how she got her start is as inspiring. Sherrod’s success is the result of many years of toil and astute financial decisions.

Being the oldest of four children and having her parents divorced as a young child, her stepfather, who she refers to as dad, raised her and was highly involved in her upbringing. He also, like her mom, was into advertising and real estate. Her mother was a powerful woman, and being an advertising executive for Strawbridge’s and Woodward & Lothrop, was a force to be reckoned with. She was the first woman to demonstrate to Egypt how to successfully juggle being a powerful leader, a queen, and a wife and also set a good example for herself in terms of encouraging other women to succeed.

Egypt has confronted and overcome difficulties at every level of the family and professional structures. She now uses her platform, the Egypt Cares Family Foundation, to encourage families and women to assume control of their financial, emotional, and spiritual futures. We take the most delight in the fact that she is still the stereotypical lady, despite the fact that this has made her into a powerhouse. She made a pledge to women that she would develop and publicize tools to assist families in laying a solid, long-lasting foundation with an emphasis on women’s issues.

Today, Egypt also mentors women on how to be powerful leaders without sacrificing their femininity.

Her advice to young women: “Always write your own checks.” “Being a faith-filled woman, I realize that every success is because of grace. I have been provided opportunities and prepared to take advantage of them. In everything I do, I inject my faith in God. We are all searching for a path and for motivation, and I believe my courage to speak my truth about God and my personal testimony has connected me to people of all races and backgrounds.”

Egypt Sherrod is essentially HGTV’s queen. When she assumed the host position on the Property Virgins program in 2007, she debuted on the television home renovation scene. Sherrod continued on from there and is now the host of the show Flipping Virgins, which she also produces.

The untold story of Egypt Sherrod is revealed here. She was the youngest radio music director in the US at the age of 19. Sherrod began her career in radio and enjoyed success in the field from a young age. By the time she was 19, she had earned a full-time position as a music director in Philadelphia, making her the youngest music director in the entire nation. At the age of 18, she was presenting a jazz radio show. Sherrod was already establishing her job while still looking to the future, unlike the majority of youngsters who are still finding out their lives. She told Vibe, “I was making enough to think about how I was going to make my money work for me.” She wanted to make investments that would eventually lead to her pursuing a career in real estate.

She remarked, “While everyone else was purchasing wallets and shoes, I was buying real estate.” “I wasn’t necessarily the industry’s finest dressed, but I was setting myself up for success just in case,” she said. It was solely intended for selling homes to be a side business. Sherrod never wanted to give up her ideal radio job. She had only intended to flip properties as a hobby or side business (and a little extra cash). She said to Madame Noire, “I got bit by the real estate bug. My objective was to sell and market my own houses after I flipped them. What was meant to be a side job for me developed into a passion, and it’s been both radio and real estate have worked together for many years. She ultimately combined her radio skills with her real estate knowledge. Her TV career followed as a result of this.

Funny enough, a casting director called me when I was presenting my regular radio show to ask if I would be interested in hosting Property Virgins,” the host told Homes.com. “I almost hung up the phone because I felt it was a terrible joke. I still thank myself for not hanging up. Her blood runs in real estate. Egypt Sherrod may have had a unique journey to becoming a real estate guru, but she honestly earned her industry skills.

Sherrod, though, had a fresh appreciation for real estate as she grew older. She told Madame Noire, “I grew up understanding that real estate was the foundation of fortune, and I knew you have to do smarter things with that money.

On parenting and parenthood, Egypt says the key to being a successful “mompreneur” is scheduling.

She says, “Parenting and working simultaneously are never simple. You might create pandemonium if you add the stress of owning your own business on top of that”.

Sherrod is the mother of three gorgeous daughters. Simone (21 years old), Kendall (10 years old), and Harper (3 years old). By maintaining organization, she is able to maintain what she likes to refer to as her “mompreneur” existence. She said to Madame Noire, “Being a mama, you have to run your house; you’ve got to run your kids’ lives.” Making sure you have a fantastic support system in place and maintaining open communication within your household is essential at all times; in my opinion, these are the key and my top suggestion. Sherrod makes it look so easy to have a great profession and a family, but there is a lot of work involved.in achieving that balance between work and life. Sherrod and her husband discuss their weekly strategy every week “exactly like business partners around our kitchen table.”

She looks up to Oprah. Oprah has always had an impact on Egypt Sherrod’s life. She confessed to Ray Cornelius, an Atlanta media personality, “I’ve followed her since I was a child.” “I didn’t want to be the next Oprah; all I wanted to be was Egypt,” the speaker said. “But it’s incredible how she’s retained her integrity and decency over the years.” Sherrod has undoubtedly developed a unique character, but that early inspiration undoubtedly influenced her career and her charitable activities. Sherrod told Hello Beautiful, “She was one of the most visible women of color on national TV, and that gave me a sense of pride.”

“With your money, you need to know where it’s coming from, where it’s going and why. Be responsible, and step up, or your will turn around and have none. Always manage your own money. And it’s okay to have financial advisors… But you need to be the one watching and managing all your money.” She also reminded women that money is only a means to an end. “It’s a tool to help us realize our dreams,” she said. “Money shouldn’t be the dream.”
