Founder of KnoNap, Danya Sherman created her company because she does not want anyone to experience what she did way back 2016. While she was studying abroad, someone took advantage of her and slipped a drug into her drink. It was a dark place for Danya but she used it to fuel her motivation to devise a product that would prevent that from happening.
Danya created KnoNap, a cocktail napkin that detects drugs in liquids even if tiny drops were spilled on it. The product changes color when it detects drugs. Because of this, Danya was recognized and became members of many prestigious societies like Halcyon Fellow, Future Founders Fellow, Washington Life’s 2017 Technology 25 Innovators and Disruptors, Cafe 100’s 2018 Change Maker, and Toyota’s 2018 Mother of Invention. Recently, she was featured in Forbes Magazine as one of its 30 Under 30.
