Success is a long journey of numerous steps, surmounting obstacles and overcoming challenges. But, for Barbara V. Crump, it’s a bit more than that, as her journey toward success involved self-discovery and self-development. As a teen mother who dropped out of high school, later obtained a GED and then went on to earn a Ph.D., Barbara V. Crump reinvented herself on her journey through life, and she’s sharing that journey with as many young people as possible through her new book, From GED to Ph.D.: My Journey Toward becoming An Extraordinary Woman.
Barbara recollects the many years of dealing with fears and numerous limitations. The author, registered nurse and certified adult nurse practitioner took time to Revise and Plan an Agenda to overcome the limitations hindering her from fulfilling her life’s dreams. She learned more about herself, acquired more knowledge through education and became a successful authority in her chosen field. Now, using herself as a reference point, she has become an advocate for education as she often encourages people to never stop learning to enable them to have a firm stance personally and professionally.
The book, From GED to Ph.D.: My Journey Toward becoming An Extraordinary Woman, which will be officially released on May 14, 2022 , mirrors Barbara Crump’s subconscious and her experience with the good and bad while telling a unique story of how a person single-handedly overcame limitations to become a highly respected professional with multiple qualifications.
