Lachin, a picturesque town in Azerbaijan, came alive on August 26th and 27th with the vibrant celebrations of the “Lachin City Day” festival. This grand event, organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, marked a special occasion for both the town and the nation.
The festivities unfolded along the scenic banks of the Hakari River and the boulevard area, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Notably, the “BP Azerbaijan” company played a significant role as the main sponsor of this celebration. The highlight of the festival was the Children’s Fine Arts Festival, a unique platform that showcased the talents and creativity of the region’s young artists.
The Children’s Fine Arts Festival featured a diverse array of categories, including traditional folk instruments, painting, literary art, vocal arts, ashug art, solo national dance, and more. As the festival unfolded along the picturesque Hakari River, the spirit of celebration and artistic exploration filled the air. The diverse array of categories, from traditional folk instruments to literary art and solo national dance, provided young artists with a stage to shine and share their unique talents with the world. Over 60 talented children emerged as winners and earned their spots in the festival’s finals.
Throughout the festival, children enjoyed a plethora of engaging and entertaining activities, including interactive games and flash mobs. The presence of renowned national artists added a special touch to the event. Notable performers included the famous singer Gulyanag Mammadova, the virtuoso Elchin Hashimov, distinguished artists, the mesmerizing dancer Eteri Jafarova, the talented singer Anar Huseynli, the esteemed teacher and professor Hokume Aliyeva, the enchanting singer Elnara Khalilova, the legendary ashug Ali Guliyev, the master of literary art Khazar Suleymanli, and many more.
