Carlton Fine Arts is pleased to present an immersive solo show by acclaimed lighting guru Bentley Meeker entitled “Veluminosity”, which will feature a selection of innovative light wall sculptures furthering Bentley’s exploration of color temperature and light. The show will occupy the entire third floor and be on view from November 5th to December 5th at Carlton Fine Arts Ltd., located at 543 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022.
Gallery Director Charles Saffati and his associate Claude Pardo will host an artist reception for Bentley Meeker on November 5th to celebrate the new exhibition.

Meeker boasts an impressive resume, having exhibited at major institutions, galleries, and shows, including the Whitney Museum of Art, the Southampton Center for the Arts, the National Arts Club, and the CORE club, among many others. His projects have included large-scale public art pieces like ‘The “H” in Harlem” and Burning Man, creating the lighting for Temple in 2011, 2013, and 2015. He was commissioned by Michelle Obama to create a bespoke sculpture for the Nordic States State Dinner. Bentley has also authored a book showcasing his work, “Light X Design” (Glitterati, April 2011), which offers an intimate look at some of the popular venues he has transformed.
Meeker is also the President and Founder of Bentley Meeker Lighting & Staging (BMLS) and Bentley House Studios and has been working in the event industry and creating magic with light for 35 years. Since 1990, BMLS has created unique lighting environments for over 10,000 events of all stripes: galas, private events, concerts, fashion shows, movie and Broadway premieres, and product launches. Bentley has personally worked for many A-list clients, including Paul McCartney, Prince, Rihanna, Earth Wind, and Fire, Lionel Ritchie, Lou Rawls, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Wyclef Jean, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Ralph Lauren, Madonna, Carolina Herrera, Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander Wang, to name a few.
He has also been tapped to create the lighting for Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, her 35th and 40th birthday parties, Bill’s 60th, 65th, and 70th birthdays, and Hillary Clinton’s multitude of campaign events. He also personally designed the lighting for Rudy Giuliani’s latest wedding.
The Bentley Meeker works will be on display, with all works available for purchase, at Carlton Fine Arts Ltd., 543 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10022.
