The Things Unseen: How Inner Prosperity Makes for a Better Life

By Joshua Finley

All around us, we have emotions elicited from us from things we cannot see. These intangible things can cause joy, fear, anger, or emotions that we cannot begin to explain. The reputation we carry with us through life is one that can cause great pride or greater shame. Our freedom is never seen or physically touched, but we revel in it every day, and we get to walk outside with full autonomy. There are things all around us that cannot be measured through our five senses, but they live in harmony within us.

One of those is our inner prosperity.

This may not be something tangible you can hold in your hands, but its effects are undeniably real. It manifests in the way you navigate challenges, build relationships, and perceive the world around you. Tangibly, it shows up in your energy levels, health, and actions. Intangibly, it is the sense of peace, clarity, and joy that colors your everyday experiences. While some might dismiss it as abstract, its ripple effects are felt in the most concrete areas of life.

“Inner prosperity is a term I coined early in my journey to encapsulate the experience of what it means to be on the right path and be full of positive, vibrant, high-frequency energy. It’s the intangible fuel that you need to succeed in life and create tangible benefits, such as staying healthy and fulfilling your purpose. It is not directly measurable, but it is at the foundation of all visible things that you can see and measure,” says Jaya Jaya Myra, a well-known thought leader in consciousness, mindfulness, and spirituality.

Today, there is so much confusion and violence plaguing our world that it is understandable to witness a drop in prosperity levels in society. 51% of young Americans today feel lost and hopeless. Between global pandemics, genocides happening worldwide, and disappointing election results festering right here in the United States, it can be easy to lose sight of joy and direction, affecting the development of who you are as a person.

Jaya Jaya Myra believes in conscious character development, a notion emphasizing our decisions that help us become better versions of ourselves. By assessing your beliefs and feelings and seeking inner prosperity, you can begin to grow and better yourself.

Jaya Jaya Myra helps us understand the ways inner prosperity can reveal itself. It is broken down into four levels of manifestation: mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. These levels are then ranked by a three-tier system: mild, moderate, and intense. Each level is interconnected, forming a harmonious cycle of well-being.

Inner prosperity requires mental clarity; there must be room for your mind to begin cultivating this manifestation. Our emotions serve as a looking glass into our souls, and when they are touched by inner prosperity, there is a noticeable shift. Additionally, when our spiritual side is met with inner prosperity, we begin to find hope in entities greater than ourselves. Finally, the body is a reflection of our mind and soul, and inner prosperity can aid in strengthening the body.

Jaya Jaya Myra continues, “The key to cultivating inner prosperity is to focus more on the intangible aspects of life that you can’t directly measure—things like faith, hope, love, spiritual connection, and joy. Making these things your foundation allows you to tap into the profound power of faith and belief, thus defining what is possible in your own life. This is how you learn to take a mere idea and shape it into something tangible and extraordinary.”

Inner prosperity isn’t an overnight stop, it is a journey that requires patience and effort. Begin with small steps that introduce clarity into your mind, gratitude in your heart, and strength in your body. Gradually, the benefits of inner prosperity will be achieved.

Above all, it is important to recognize that inner prosperity is not simply a destination. It is a way of life. Constantly evolving, this state is meant to aid in your overall triage well-being.
