As I sit down to reflect on my life, I am reminded of the incredible journey that has brought me to where I am today. My name is Lee Hsueh Ching, but most people know me as Fiona Lee, a 55-year-old entrepreneur and spiritual life coach. I was born in Taiwan but I have lived in Singapore for past 34 years and hold Singaporean citizenship. I have been married for 33 years and have 2 great kids and 4 dogs.

From Poverty to Prosperity

Growing up in a poor family in Taiwan, I learned to be resourceful and determined. I started working at a young age, making decorations for pennies. My journey was not without its challenges, I faced many obstacles, including being told that I was foolish to dream big and that I should be content with my circumstances, as a girl and the youngest in the family I was constantly told to know my path and do what I was told. But I refused to listen. I knew that I had the potential to achieve great things, and I was determined to make it happen. I refused to let my circumstances define me. I then met my now husband Sarge Sargeant, a Canadian who believed in my potential. I moved to Singapore with him and my pursuit of higher education, earning degrees in finance, marketing, and a BBA.

A Career of Entrepreneurship and Growth

I started my career in finance, working as a financial advisor and trading stock options. But I soon realized that I wanted to be my own boss and started a small bubble tea business, which grew into 9 outlets. I then sold the business and started my first restaurant, which expanded to 7 establishments. I also opened a consulting business and school to teach others about Chinese Metaphysics and Options Trading as well as advising those who want to get into the Food & Beverage business.

Throughout my career, I have learned the importance of hard work, determination, and resilience. I have faced many setbacks and failures, but I have always managed to bounce back and come out stronger. I believe that this is because I have a strong sense of purpose and a clear vision for my life.

Empowering Others

Throughout my journey, I have gained confidence, experience and strength. I have learned to turn negative events into advantages and focus on problem-solving moving forward. I do have emotional episodes from time to time, however, I don’t let these negative emotions control my behavior and thoughts for too long.

I’m passionate about using my knowledge to help people with relationship problems, spiritual growth, and self-discovery. I’m currently studying for my Master’s degree in counseling and plan to focus on teenage mental health and wellness. This younger generation will be the generation who are going to be hit the hardest with Global unrest, climate change, social life, environment changes and advanced technology that is moving ahead at the speed of light. There is so much impact on their young minds these days and it’s these kids that will be our future.

I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve great things, regardless of their background or circumstances. I want to help people unlock their potential and achieve their dreams. I believe that by empowering others, I can make a positive impact on the world.

Awards and Recognition

I have won several titles, including Mrs. Singapore Classic Globe 2024, Mrs. Beauty with a Heart 2024, and Mrs. Globe Change Maker. I’ve also been awarded the World’s 10 Women Entrepreneurship award 2024. I was also honoured to be invited to participate in the Paris Fashion Week and walked the runway for 2ndtwo shows. In a few short months I will have graduated from university with a Master in counselling.

These awards are not just a recognition of my achievements, but also a reminder that I am making a positive impact on the world. I am proud to be a role model for others, and I hope that my story can inspire others to chase their dreams.

A Philosophy of Empowerment

I believe that our birth and age are not barriers to growth and learning. I’m committed to continuing my education and personal development, and using my experience to make a positive impact on the world especially for those around me. I’m excited to pursue new opportunities, support charitable causes, and live a happy, healthy life with good mental health.

I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve great things, regardless of their age or background. I want to inspire others to chase their dreams and never give up on their aspirations.

A Quote to Live By

“Go with the flow, free your mind and soul”. Focus on things we can control, things we can do to make a difference. The universe has its plan, we are just a small part of it, and you never know what it will bring to you.”

This quote is a reminder that life is full of uncertainties, but we always have the power to choose how we respond to them. I believe that by living in the present moment and focusing on what we can control, we can make a positive impact on the others, the earth and all things that matter.

Chasing Dreams and Making a Difference

I am reminded that life is not always easy, but it is always worth living. There have been moments when the darkness seemed overwhelming, but it was in those moments that I discovered the brightest stars. As I was once told, “the brightest stars only can be seen at the darkest nights.” This phrase has become a guiding principle for me, reminding me to stay hopeful and resilient even in the face of adversity. To anyone who has ever doubted themselves, who has ever felt like giving up, or who has ever wondered if they are not good enough, I want to say this: you are enough. You are worthy.

When life gets tough, I find solace in nature. I look up at the stars and remind myself to be ready and wait for my time to shine. It’s a powerful reminder that no matter how difficult things may seem, there is always hope for a brighter future.

Heartfelt Thank You

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the people who have been my rock, my support system, and my inspiration throughout my journey. To my loving husband, Sarge, and my two beautiful children, Ky and Kyller. Your love and support mean the world to me, and I am so grateful to have you all in my life.

I wish to thank Shyna for the invite to the Paris Fashion Week OF Alegre De Pilipinas International for trusting in me to be involved in modelling a dress from their collection of sustainable fabrics made from banana fibres and to be part of helping those more unfortunate families in the Philippines. Also, thanks to Mikiko Oshimaya of Japan whose beautiful Kimono I was honoured to wear on the catwalk.
