Q: Eva, your brand MyMokondo has created something truly unique. Can you tell us how the idea for your “straps” first came to life?
It all started with an unexpected opportunity. I was recovering some money from debtors to pay off a mortgage, and one of them was selling harnesses. They suggested I try selling them, and I did—quite successfully. But the real turning point came when buyers asked for something more comfortable. Traditional leather harnesses have limitations: they aren’t elastic, can rub against the skin, and absorb odors. Leather also can’t be washed easily, which makes it look less presentable over time.
That’s when I had an idea. I realized that the same accessories could be made from textiles, which would solve all those problems. This is how my “straps” were born—essentially harnesses made from comfortable elastic materials that can even be worn under clothes.
Q: How do your straps differ from the traditional concept of erotic lingerie or accessories?
My Mokondo is more than just a brand – it’s a community and a set of tools designed to help you create your boundless reality. It emphasizes your confidence, sexuality, and success, empowering you to express yourself freely and authentically. And because they’re made of elastic material, they can be integrated into everyday life and worn under shirts, dresses, or tops, making them incredibly versatile.

Q: You’ve even patented the name “straps” for this line. What inspired you to make such a move?
As the strap concept is unique and innovative, I wanted to protect this idea as my own. It’s not just a product; it’s a new way of looking at accessories. Naming and patenting it as “straps” allowed me to define a new category in fashion—erotic yet functional bold on-top accessories that serve different purposes depending on how they are styled.
Q: Your collection includes a variety of strap models, such as “Aura,” “Shaula,” “Volans,” and “Petra.” How did you come up with these names and designs?
I see each strap as having its personality, so I choose unique names. I want each model to evoke a different feeling or energy when worn. Whether it’s “Aura,” which is soft yet firm, or “Petra,” which feels more grounded and bold, each design reflects an attitude or experience I want to share with my customers.
Q: MyMokondo also offers fetish accessories, leather masks, harnesses, and chokers. How do you see your brand evolving within the fashion and fetish markets?
MyMokondo embraces both the fashion and fetish worlds, allowing customers to explore their identity in different contexts. I believe there is no single way to wear or use these accessories, so the line offers both comfortable, everyday pieces and more daring, adventurous designs. As the brand grows, I want to continue blurring the lines between these markets, creating expressive and wearable pieces, regardless of the occasion.
Q: Straps have become quite popular. What do you think makes them resonate with such a broad audience?
I think it’s their versatility. Straps can be worn in so many ways—over, under, or without clothing—which appeals to people who want to experiment with their style. They offer an element of surprise and challenge traditional ideas of what underwear accessories should be. Also, the comfort and flexibility of the materials make them accessible for everyone, regardless of the situation.
Q: What’s next for you and MyMokondo? Are you working on any upcoming projects or innovations?
I’m constantly working on expanding the collection, adding new designs and concepts that push the boundaries of fashion. I’m also exploring collaborations with other designers and stylists to integrate straps into mainstream fashion contexts. My ultimate goal is for MyMokondo to become a global symbol of bold, confident, and expressive fashion.
