In the competitive world of e-commerce, presenting products in unique and innovative ways is crucial for capturing attention and driving conversions. Good creative can set you apart from everyone else and make you look as big as the key players in your space before you actually are. Better packaging, better imagery, better photography, better product page images, and better social ads can all be built in bulk to better manage the reputation of your products and company.

Josh Delaney lists his tips for building creative assets for Ecommerce

Innovative Presentation:

Utilize designers, 3D motion artists, product photographers, and videographers to showcase your products from every angle engagingly.

Josh elaborates, “Amazing product photography, video or motion graphics converted into short 3-6 second GIFs have shown to convert more clicks, page views, and conversions in the last couple of years. That might be changing, but so far, that has been a great addition to our creatives’ stack.”

Josh continues to describe how to elevate product presentation on a tight budget, “Hire a content studio or agency to do the job for you. Get 30-60 photos, 3-4 short videos, and 3-4 short GIFS for a set monthly price without asking or collaborating too much. This makes your creative content strategy so seamless and automatic. I would always have a team on the West Coast and East Coast to ensure I always had two types of scenery and seasons in different campaigns, etc. This is like hiring an employee in-house without the headache. Hire 1-2 teams, give them those jobs, and not stop for 12 months! See how quickly you can scale ads, social, Pinterest, etc.”

Utilize Talent Platforms:

Platforms like Behance, Dribbble, and Fiverr can connect you with talented creatives at various price points, helping you look like a million-dollar brand without breaking the bank.

Josh speaks on effective strategies to achieve high-quality outputs while working with freelancers and creatives, “Hiring good creatives is first a numbers game. You’ll have to hire and work with multiple creatives before landing on someone you work well with and do great work promptly. Hire Slow, Fire Fast, don’t use them again if they didn’t do what you wanted, and maintain great relationships no matter what. Always leave the door open to later work if you need it.”

Diverse Creative Assets:

Incorporating a mix of photos, 2D and 3D images, and motion graphics on your product pages can keep potential customers engaged and convey a forward-thinking brand image. This shows customers a few different creative perspectives of your products that may help provide insight as to why they might want to buy more. One Designer and ongoing creative content being kicked out can help you achieve all this. When used properly, there is always a great ROI on creative content.

Josh describes how to determine the right mix of creative assets for product pages: “I would use a blend of it all on your product pages, photos, 3D rendering, GIF and/or short-form video. These can all help convert more customers faster and with more trust into the product because of how you allowed them to shop in your store.”
