The LeadWolf Story: Signing Your Dream Clients And Getting Real Results

By: SEO MAVENS

Lead generation is arguably one of the most competitive industries out there, where standing out is harder than ever.

Yet, Peter Gaston and his agency LeadWolf have a proven track record of helping small and medium-sized companies scale time and time again.

Some of LeadWolf’s clients have gotten these results:

  • Booked 39 meetings in 19 days, leading to 24 new clients.
  • Generated over $200,000 in revenue.
  • Secured meetings with billion-dollar brands like Shopify, Vans, Marriott, Under Armour, and more.

“I started LeadWolf because everyone wants more leads, sales calls, and clients – and I thought I could do a better job than the majority of the market,” says Peter.

Peter went where the demand was and had faith he could outperform the competition.

Here’s his story.

Peter’s career-defining moment was very early in his career. He started LeadWolf during the summer of his senior year of college and saw quick success there. However, one of the first significant challenges he had to overcome had to do with time management. When he went back to school in September, Peter says his schedule filled up fast. He was a college athlete who also ran a business which was in its very early stages. He was doing everything by himself, with no free time and hardly any sleep.

“I made a decision early on to prioritize LeadWolf, and it paid off,” says Peter. Of course, his journey wasn’t without its hardships.

At one point in his journey, Peter recalls he would wake up at 5:30 AM, do 5 hours of his “in-person” job, find the closest hotel or restaurant with WiFi, and then work on LeadWolf for the rest of the day. He recalls that’s where they signed their first 3 clients. The second challenge he had to overcome was mastering cold email. When he first started, he was getting rejection after rejection.

“The early stages of entrepreneurship are similar to throwing stuff at a wall until something sticks,” recalls Peter Gaston.

Since then, he’s tested many different things: different email copy, subject line, deliverability tactics, AI tools, and much more. Only through rigorous testing can you genuinely get the best results possible for your clients. And it took a lot of mental strength to stay consistent and keep testing.

In the lead generation industry, results are king.

Peter says that authenticity and transparency are the most important qualities they maintain at LeadWolf. Anyone in the industry should remain transparent with the results they’ve gotten their clients and, more importantly, whether they think they can get results for prospects. In this industry, a prospect has to already have some things going for them to be a good client; lead generation will not revive a failing business with a bad offer.

“Too often, I see lead generation agencies taking on anyone they possibly can and not being upfront and honest with the prospect, leading them to overpromise and underdeliver.”, says Peter on the majority of lead generation agencies.

As a lead generation agency, it’s your job to understand your client’s business inside out. It’s vital to learn about their company inside out. Otherwise, you won’t get the best results for them. At LeadWolf, Peter gives each client their own log-in to a client access portal, where they can see client-specific workspace in their sending software. This means that clients get to see everything Peter and his team see – the responses, who to reply to, how the campaigns are performing, and the exact analytics.

Looking ahead, Peter sees LeadWolf not just as a lead generation agency but as a holistic growth partner for its clients. His personal commitment to excellence and improvement parallels his professional goals, illustrating his belief that success is a continuous journey of learning and adaptation.
