How it All Began
Trunov graduated from St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. His first few jobs included working part-time in restaurants and construction sites. He soon found himself at an advertising agency, which jump-started his career. “I first worked with targeted SMS mailings and then I engaged in the sale of trending goods, but in order to promote them, I had to become an expert in advertising. We create technological products that allow Internet marketing to provide services in a whole new, profound way.”

“Being an entrepreneur is not always spoken about in the same breath as being a business-man but in my opinion, to be a successful entrepreneur, you need to also have a mind for business,” Trunov explained. “You need to give something new— something original— to the existing markets and their industries. You take a completely new path but apply business acumen at every step.”
Trunov also feels that entrepreneurs need to know how to move forward, adapt— and fast. They can work with people and motivate people. “After all, people are business,” he said, potently. “Working with people and for people— that’s the crucial part.”

Trunov co-founded Advisability Group in 2016 and has risen the IT powerhouse to have 1000 parnets all around the world. Advisability Group is an international group of companies that focus on performance marketing, online advertising, and IT.

“My advice for all entering the field of IT or wanting to become an entrepreneur in general is simple: do something— anything— that will give you actionable experience,” he said, wisely. “Learning isn’t just about watching videos or reading books: get out there and do what you love, in real time.”
The Success of Advisability Group
So, what makes Advisability Group so special?
For starters, in just five years, the company reached a revenue of $30 million and a reputation of a rapidly but sustainably growing company. While the company faced a bit of difficulty in the beginning due to limited investments— only having $100,000 in seed capital to be exact— Trunov turned it all around by growing and managing his team in ambitious, strategic ways.
“The key to success is finding the points you want to expand upon,” Trunov said, tactfully. “We knew we wanted to work in markets that have the innovation, tech and opportunity that would help us grow fast and IT and marketing were exactly that; we also knew we wanted to capitalize on ideas, solutions and performance metrics because honestly, that’s where the money is.”
Another important key to success is the company’s ability to ensure sustainability always follows growth. Many companies in the US this past year like Lyft, Amazon, Apple and more had severe layoffs because they grew way too fast and then couldn’t sustain or support that growth— Advisability Group ensured to always keep up.
This was done by Trunov securing 4-6 month cycles of growth but then having 6 months of securing that growth and stabilizing. While the company does have plans to expand into more countries in Europe and into the US— especially given the US is the epicenter of new tech right now— they always take a beat to keep the foundation strong.
