A stroke can be devastating to your health and well-being, but one stroke survivor’s book has shown that there is hope after experiencing the worst day of your life. A man named Terence Ang just published his first book called ‘A Cry in the Dark’, which talks about his journey recovering from the stroke he suffered two years ago, how he got through and how important it was to stay positive. His story has been so inspirational that it has allowed other stroke survivors to open up about their experiences as well.
The Story Behind ‘A Cry in the Dark’
Mr. Ang suffered a major stroke and doctors were doubtful he would ever walk again. He was stuck on the same physical level for months until a chance discovery allowed him to finally break free from his immobility. His story has been shared with millions of people through his recently-published book ‘A Cry in the Dark’, which recounts his experiences during the recovery process. Next month, he will address healthcare professionals from around the world on his journey with stroke and offer personal insights into the patient experience. “ What I hope my readers take away from my book is that no matter how dire things may seem, you should never give up hope. Life can change in an instant,”says Mr. Ang.
Speaking Up For Stroke Survivors Worldwide
Terence Ang suffered a major stroke and slowly learned to speak again after many months of speech therapy. His experience will take him around the world to speak with experts on this topic. From October 26 to 29, Ang will be attending an international conference in Singapore at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre where he will share his thoughts on how to better deliver improvements in prevention, treatment, and care for people who have had a stroke. The global event brings together the international stroke community to discuss how to improve upon current treatments and therapies.
Playing a Part in Inspiring Positive Changes Globally
Terence Ang has always had a deep love for people and the communities he resides in. He is deeply invested in his efforts to amplify the voices of Stroke survivors and provide them with the help and resources they need to feel less alone in their recovery process.
